1. I've a 33" scale bass that is strung B-G and I find that generally when restringing the bass the B string's taper happens on the post (as they are usually made for 34/35" scale basses), which caused a string to snap at that point the 1st time I did a string change. Has anyone any recommendations for strings to try that might avoid this or is there any B-G string sets available for 33" scale basses? I usually use .45-.130 strings.

2.
Welcome. At 5 gigs a week, it's hardly surprising you haven't had time to drop in! Groove on, BB
Thanks guys.

Ya it's pretty busy this month, we've been on holidays for the last week but the rest will be handy, we've 22 gigs this month starting tomorrow night! :i-m_so_happy:

3. Hey guys,
I've been a member on here for a few years but never dropped in to say hi!

I live in Cork in Ireland, I've been playing bass for years but made the switch to playing full time a few years ago. I play in a band called J90 doing mainly covers, with a few originals thrown in here and there, and we play all over Ireland. Averaging about 4-5 gigs a week so it keeps me busy! :)

Cheers,
Shane.

4. Bump with temporary price drop!!! £4100!!! (€4700) I have my eye on something at the moment so I'm doing a temporary price drop while it's available.

I forgot to mention that I upgraded some of the hardware earlier this year. The tuners were bought new from Fodera in February of this year and the bridge is one of the newer Fodera custom shop bridges. These allow for lower action than the older custom shop bridges.

5. Up for sale is my Fodera Monarch Deluxe Victor Wooten Classic.
Here are the specs I got from Fodera:

Fodera Monarch Deluxe
Victor Wooten Classic
Flame Maple top

EMG P/J pickups
Gold hardware
19mm string spacing
Emporer control layout
Completed April 2000

The bass was completed in April 2000 but it's in great condition and you'd think it was much newer. No wear on the back of the body or the neck but there are some marks on the end of the bass from the old stand i used to use. You can see them in one of the pictures attached. I'm mainly playing my 5 string bass these days and I feel this is just too nice a bass to leave sitting there so I've decided to sell it.

The price is £4300/€5000 plus shipping.

Comes with a Fodera teardrop hard case. This bass plays effortlessly and sounds great, the Pope pre is very versatile and the P/J configuration helps you get loads of tonal variations. The bass is located in Cork, Ireland.
