Not much, My first cab (150w) was a TVM 1x18", it had a McKenzie speaker in it, which I believe had a tenuous link to Fane. TVM were made in Manchester. The lips logo was added by me. The only pic I have of it is...........

How about one of the franchises that go around touching up road chips in car paint? There was a guy in my area who was fantastic at it & matched at the time to what was in front of him.
..........just need myself some uber cool artwork to hang on the walls around my axes.
I got this on a market stall in York a couple of years ago. Painted by a local artist, this is a wooden plaque about a foot high but she also did posters and other sizes. Took commissions too if she didn't have who you were looking for. Unfortunately the label with her details on has fallen off the back, but a BCer in York may know who I'm banging on about............sorry about dodgy mobile phone pic

Basschatters and their gear in Bass Guitar Magazine
Cheers Stu, great story and looks an amazing bass. I was just imagining that Jim Lea growling bass when he used to play his bass solo as I was reading the story
This one? Up until last Xmas i used to own Nod's Hiwatt 200 + one of his cabs - that and a 2 x 15 gave an authentic rendition(ish) - if I'd had Jim's fingers too. -
If Big Stu's still about he'll probably confirm that Slade , in their early days , used this approach to create a wall of sound. They'd all have cabs either side of the stage.
I'm that boring and predictable huh! Check out post #5 It was their roadie & Nod's school-friend Swin (Graham Swinnerton)'s idea. Nod & H splitting one of their AC30's speakers with the opposite one on the other side of the stage. Jim was using a Selmer head at the time with two cabs. -
I'd happily shoot all the buskers when I'm in the city centre, especially now that they all use bloody amps.
I'm so old I can remember when the bands of pan-pipe players weren't playimg to backing tapes over a bl**dy big F-off PA system.

When you first mentioned this I seem to remember replying - but maybe didn't that a fledgling "Slade" did very similar in the mid-60s - to similar bemused punters and landlords. They used AC30s then and had a speaker of each interwired via long speaker cable with one on the opposite side of the stage. Pseudo-stereo rather than actual. -
Fixed. Don't remember exactly, but it did have a few features even the Beeb lacked. Really nice little kompjootah. But has anyone had an Atom? I get the feeling not many of those were sold.
The BBC was an afterthought - weren't they simlee-er? Oh the joys of playing the cassette to play a kind of Star-Trek game with my lad. Turning the volume up as the cassette loaded was all part of the ................ immense build up. -

Letts Basses total customer service failure...
I have amended the post to be more neutral.
I've done the same to mine so that bit's gone FWIW - I had a custom bass built by the late John Birch. It took 7 months, was a scratch build and I made one change from the first commission. There were no price changes. -

I'm no legal expert - so this is just an IMHO - but it seems to be a case of breech of contract, whether written or verbal. In your case I'd have just asked for PMs of feedback, good bad or indifferent. YMMV -
Anyway, I bloody hate Jaco's style of bass playing.
Studies have proven that 95% of cassette tape seen fluttering on motorway verges in the 1980s have been Jaco in origin. Hence the rarity of Jaco cassette tapes. -
I'm mainly here for the ringpull stuff if I'm honest....
Their aerodymaics were never the same after they started laminating the inside of the can with plastic. Took a lot of the twang out of the flap.
