  1. I'm another Songbook Pro user. I hand write my notes and upload them as PDFs, then organise by band and by gig.
  2. Same here - external router. The XR18 is defintely the way to go. Loads of AUX outs and we also use the Ultranet to feed P16Ms for in ear monitoring.

  5. That doesn't sound right to me. I have two sets of the original Thumpers installed and I certainly don't get that. There's more top end in them than say a set of SD QPs..

  8. Yes exactly. You can daisy chain them using the in/thru sockets (with each needing its own power supply) or feed them an individual cat 5 cable from the P16D splitter - which I think means they don't need separate power. Either way, each unit gets 16 channels from the XR18 that can be mixed, panned, eq'd etc completely independently of each other and independently of every other P16M. In stereo.
  9. All sounds very complicated to me! What happened to your XR18/P16M idea? I run that setup and it's perfect. You can then run the P16M in to a wireless unit or from the headphone out in to a P1. You already have experience of the P16M so you know how good it is when modifying your own stereo mix..
  10. I'm the same. Whatever we try in a gig situation this thing is introducing a noticeable hiss, and when everyone is running IEMs this isn't acceptable. I'm also experiencing the pronounced top end. I can dial this out with EQ but I don't want to have to adjust it every time. I'm persevering for the time being but keep switching ba k to the GLXD....

  12. You're gonna have to tell me what I'm doing wrong! I normally run a GLXD+ plugged in to a Helix (no backline, in ears from a Sennheiser G4) but reading this thread I bought one of these and tried it last night. Dreadful latency and thin tone were the first things I noticed, and a high pitched hum through the PA and everyone's IEMs. Switched back to the Shure and everything back to normal. And I don't like the fact that you can't have the transmitter section flush with the bass body as the plug doesn't angle 90 degrees unless you fold it back on itself. It's clearly not designed to be used that way though as it has a small disc of protective foam on one side but not the other.... home use only for me I'm afraid..
  13. It's a great system. Adds a tuner to your pedal board, too. The 'Tx' has a belt clip but i keep mine in a pouch attached to my guitar strap.

  15. i have a Fender 18v active circuit in a Dimension bass. I'm getting low background buzz (not hum) which goes away when strings are touched but when pots are touched (vol, treble, mid, bass) the buzzing increases dramatically. When I use the Boss Waza headphones (i.e. wireless) no buzz at all and the sound is perfect. There is no active passive switch. Things I have checked Batteries Leads Amp Location Solder joints Bridge grounding Output jack Any other ideas? Thanks Steve

  17. No description required really, this is in 'as new' condition, never actually used, even though I have prepped it with velcro ( original rubber feet supplied). Comes with original box and little manual. £260 including shipping to UK.

  19. Lovely lovely lovely. It's what I use with my ABM750 nearly all the time! Really light, with wheels and handles and excellent deep but tight bass. I have a Barefaced 610 also but hardly use it as the Supertwin does it all.
  20. Having done the superglue thing, I would not do it again. When I did want to adjust the screws I had superglued, I chewed the slot up trying to free it, they were stuck so hard. I ended up disassembling the bridge and heating up the stuck parts on my gas stove, to free them up then replaced the screws. Nail varnish is the way ahead!

  22. If you’re using your stereo headphone out then you’ll need a 6.3mm TRS to dual XLR I think. The left input is likely to be mono only and if you use that you’ll need to set your receiver to dual mono mode. On my Sennheiser unit it’s called ‘focus’ mode.
  23. Perfectly sensible - that's exactly my set up. With the P16M I can mix on the fly withour resorting to a phone or tablet app or worrying about anyone else. I think with your curent setup you'd probably not need the P2, but it wouldn't do any harm to still use it. The only thing you'll need to be aware of is having a long enough CAT5 cable to go from the mixer to wherever you stand. I have a flat cable on a reel that does 15 metres or so. Oh and in the mixer you'll need to route each channel to a specified channel in the P16, then label the P16!
  24. I don't use the Phones out but I reckon it should be able to drive your wired IEMs. I don't use the P1 either - can that accept a stereo input as the benefit of stereo as discussed is huge?
  25. I think the Behringer unit is a rip off of the Allen and Heath ME500 version which will work with your SQ20, but I have no idea if they are interchangeable. I would bet not!
