  1. Another vote for the Gator Pro Go. It's only used for car to venue so I don't bother with the shoulder straps but in terms of convenience and protection, it's brilliant.
  2. Everyone know what this is. Comes complete with the latest 3.03 software update. In excellent condition with the box and gubbins that comes with it. UK delivery is included. No trades thanks. Steve
  3. Thanks for that, domestic supply or interference is all I could think of too. I don't think it was that sort of digital type interference that comes with extreme processing.
  4. The one that came with it. It needs a 9v 200mA supply according to the manual.
  5. I havè a tech 21 bass fly rig. It works perfectly and is silent wherever and whenever I use it. I sold it recently and the buyer is experiencing pops and clicks when using it that I have never experienced. They have tried different leads, power supplies, amps and basses although I think always in the same house. They sent me sample videos to show their problem. They contacted tech 21 who told them immediately that it was faulty. They were understandably not happy and I agreed to refund the money and accept the pedal back. I have it back now and again, it's completely silent. No pops or clicks whatsoever. It's in perfect working order, exactly how it left me. Any ideas what might be going on here? I would like to put it back up for sale with a clear conscience.
  6. Note perfect! brilliant and great sound.
  7. I can confirm that a M900 and a BF610 is just the right amount........😳
  8. Very similar situation happened to me several years ago. They got a polite but curt, "Thanks for letting me know" response and I chalked it up to experience. They came back to me two months after, asking if I was still interested(!) and I declined, saying I was already sorted. I wasn't, but I wasn't prepared to make it easy for them. I'm sure there's more bass players needed than looking!

    BF 610 Cabs

I have one. It's the best cab I have ever had, closely followed by the Super Twin. I'd describe it as round and tight if that's possible. No tweeters in it but I've not struggled with the clarity or high end definition. It's certainly not as transparent as the Super Twin though. I use Ashdown and/or Darkglass heads through this and it can do any sounds that I want. I used to have the old Ampeg 610HLF and this is streets ahead.
  10. Messaged you back, Sarah.
  11. Are these newer ones backwards compatible with the older ones, so if you have a strap fitted with the older style locks will they fit the newer style buttons?
  12. Sunday evening and @Stub Mandrel's frankly reckless Flea Jazz post gave me GAS, so I posted a Wanted ad. By Thursday morning, thanks to Tony, I had an offending model in my mitts. As previous posts testify, Tony is clearly the Basschat packaging and delivery king, shipping from Belgium faster than I can get to and from the local chippy. One of the best transactions I've had on here.
  13. Hmmm there still shouldn't be such a dramatic difference as you're describing. The new ones could have been wired in wrongly?
  14. I would just check first that the wiring in your problem bass matches the standard wiring schematic for a jazz bass. You could always just check the bad bass against the actual good one to make sure they match. This is a pretty simple job and is a good starting point before you wade in with a soldering iron!
  15. Does that advice stand for the ABM as well?
  16. Both pickups working? Have you taken of the control plate to see if there's anything obviously out of place with the wiring?
  17. '75, '72, 60th anniversary, Nate Mendel, '95, '05. I should stop now.
  18. This is an absolute bargain! Can't believe it's still here. These replaced the AVRI series and are cracking basses.
  19. Option one, mainly because in the original song the bass line supports the string section.
  20. How small is small? How much do you want to spend? Do you need a XLR DI out? How much tone shaping control do you need? The Fender pedal mentioned above is a lot of pedal for the money - Alex Aguilar designed, I believe - or there's the Xotic BB Preamp, Tonehammer DI, GK Plex, Helix Stomp, Ampeg SCR-DI (although I'd refer this pedal without the Scrambler), amoongst many others. I'd probably start with a Sansamp BDDI though!
  21. I like the fact they've done a version for guitar too called The Newt. Nice idea.... https://ashdownmusic.com/collections/heads/products/the-newt
  22. I'm a Believer Sweet Caroline
  23. They are the same size but I don't think you can buy a separate one. If you wanted a silver one then making your own I think would be pretty easy - I took the front off mine and it's four strips of wood, corner pieces, velcro and a bit of grill cloth!
  24. It'll have to be substantially different from the 600 Evo IV RC to warrant that increase in size. And that existing amp is so good it'll be difficult to beat!
