I've currently got my IEM transmitter and wireless receiver units separate and I set them up independently each gig. I can't rack them with the PA as I use them in different bands. For ease of use can I rack them side by side in a 1 or 2U unit? My head tells me this is going to cause problems but I don't know why. Is there any other mounting solution anyone knows of? Both are Sennheiser G4 units. Thanks

I use a spring loaded centre punch! Sims custom shop made mine. They should have it stored as a template if you contact them!

These really are cracking basses. I have two of the HH five string versions and I love them. The necks are beautiful and the bodies are nicely weighted. Really under rated basses as people are always either comparing them to Stingray/Sterlings or complaining that they're just 'not Fender'. Then we complain that Fender just rehash the same old stuff year after year......... There's a FB page here https://www.facebook.com/groups/382848225624135/

I'll take another of it on my Retro 610 later!

Keep an eye out for the matching extension cab -in the classifieds, both together make for a killer rig. I find I have to back off the bass a bit but I can always get a great sound. I did replace the horrible Fender logo with one of the older style blackface logos

Great service from Barefaced. I do have some sympathy with retailers when offering discounts. What do you do about people only having just purchased at the full price? Offer a refund? How far do you backdate before it's unreasonable.

I bypassed the tweeter in my CMD (easy swap of spade connectors and totally reversible) to reduce the hiss but I left the one in my NY121 alone as it has a L PAD. there is no tweeter control on the combo. both together is awesome, easily keeps up with a loud rock band.

You've got two components already - the Sansamp and the cab - you could always just look for a power amp? Failing that, you can always find bargains on Gumtree (more so than ebay I find). Older Fender Rumbles sell for peanuts for example. If you don't mind heavy stuff, and travelling a bit to collect, you can always score a bargain. Otherwise, you're probably looking at trying to save up maybe £150-200. For example £150 could get you this currently for sale in the For Sale section.

Light, loud, £300 ish? You can get a Rumble 500v3 for around that. It's not that small (when compared to say a Markbass CMD121) but it's a one handed lift!

I've got the rackmount version with a BF SuperTwin or a BF 610. Such a wonderful rounded sound that needs barely any tweaking from default settings. You can get these really cheap second hand (£300-£350 or so) but no idea why because I only ever hear brilliant things about them.

Do you mean between the Barefaced 210 and the Fender 210? Size, weight, power handling, looks, types of fitted driver, compression driver in the Fender,... Soundwise, no idea. I have a Barefaced 610 and comparing that with the Fender isn't fair!

IPad App for Backing Track and Lyrics?

I just looked at that Stage Traxx app you mentioned. I reckon that'll do exactly what you're after. -
IPad App for Backing Track and Lyrics?
Muppet replied to PunkPonyPrincess's topic in General Discussion
You mentioned running it like a Karaoke? Have you tried an Ipad karaoke app that lets you import tunes and lyrics? I found this thing - horrible name but could do what you want maybe http://grinta-app.com/en/ I use a Digitech JamMan to trigger the samples with my feet and an IK Multimedia app called iKlip Stage for the scrolling lyrics. these aren't synced though. -
I've got one. I mainly use it as an extension cab for the Rumble 500 combo to make a very loud rig, but it's pretty good on its own. It's light enough but not particularly small, especially if you compare it to a Basschat favourite the Barefaced retro 210. Then again they are streets apart in price. The speakers are offset in the cab with a switcheable tweeter. It's a very pleasing sound to my ears. There's one available for a good price in the for sale section here I think..

I run my fly rig XLR to desk and 1/4" out to a active monitor so I'd need an additional DI box I'd still want the speaker sim on both, I cant work out in my head if that's possible...!

No XLR DI out?

I love the look of the PSA. 1.1 but this in pedal format is killer. I have the fly rig and it's really small but well laid out and the knobs (and switches) are surprisingly robust. As said before, small adjustments with these knobs go a long way. Can't wait for this.

As I mentioned before, if you want Fish era songs, you can still go and see Fish on tour!

I feel sorry for H. He's been in the band for 30 odd years (Fish was only in it for 10!) and people still call him the new guy. If you want to hear more old Marillion you are better off seeing Fish, who is touring again also (for the last time before retiring). I love both 'versions' but I think you have to see them as two slightly different bands. H singing Fish songs just dont sound right to me. Steve Hogarths lyrics are better in many respects than Fish's ever were and musically the band are wonderful to hear. Ps does he still do the white gloves thing?
