1. PM on its way to you
2.
I really like the BB Pre, but it was always a little bit lacking in the mids for me. Si
hmmm, need to replace my stolen BB - what did you settle on as a replacement then squire, the DD?
3. there was a great demo vid on bass a while back for the behringer superfuzz. I picked one up on the back of that, for less than £15. really, really didn't get on with it myself, but others did - could be worth a shot? 4. nice! I keep thinking about a bass whammy but always changing my mind... good to see a proper microsynth too i'm in a 3-piece instrumental band myself at the minute, this is making me think me board should be a little bigger
5. if the idea of a rat-ish pedal appeals, I can't recommend the COG TK421-x highly enough, I love that thing - never gelled with the fuzzrocious rat tail or the blower box, but the TK-421x kills it, and has a proper blend, that never sounds like 2 signals
6.
No worries, one will pop up
one just popped up
7. I really like the Xotic Bass BB Preamp for this (ignore the 'preamp' tag, it's just an o/d pedal with a 2 band EQ. no blend, but low gain and o/d pedals shouldn't need one IMO). it's all personal preference of course edit - I used to have a blower box, was a high gain monster, but had a versatile EQ on it, may be capable of decent low gain, but seems silly to buy something like that to mostly use as a low gain pedal!
8. yeah, whammy does look cool, just so big! I'll have a look into the pitchfork, forgot about that one...
9. afternoon all - hoping for a bit of feedback from those of you who own and gig pitch shifters / harmonisers. I want to add a pedal to my setup, to be used with either ratty-distortion or a muff, to add some 'battles'-esque colour to lead parts / riffs higher up the fretboard (and generally add another colour to our sound for a couple of tracks). Looking at the boss PS-6 / 5 / 3, bass whammy, EQD pedal (the name escapes me for the minute) so far. I don't really need bells and whistles, just the ability to tune to whatever intervals I want... just needs to track quickly and sound good with dirt, ideally small (probably rules the whammy out!!). Any recommendations?
10. finally picked me up a pedaltrain metro 24... loving the board, though not too sure about the soft case, doesn't have the side-pocket the old mini-board bag had
11.
had to post this, even though it's not in my grubby mitts yet, as it just looks immense Sterling Malory ("Duchess") Archer Knightfall ...whilst it has been said 100 times before, it still needs saying again. Tom is the man.
Attention - a box went missing during my recent home move, including this COG pedal, plus an oc2, bass bb preamp and possibly a couple others, need to check my guitar cases. Please keep your eyes peeled in the south west / Bristol
12. Hi - it's the old shape PT Mini...
13. speak to Tom at COG Effects - maybe a modified version of his Darklighter pedal?? http://www.cogeffects.co.uk/custom.php
14. totally disagree, a blend would ruin it!!
15. me too - borrowed a guitar vintage coloursound a while back and like the 'flavour' of it... I think Juan A recently picked up the Rhinosaur so maybe pedalsandeffects review soon??
16. OK, still not released in the UK (early Spring, it's fekking June already), but they are now up for pre-order, so the prices are online... £67 for the Metro 24 (£93 with hard case)... hopefully not too long to wait now
17. wren and cuff tall font russian £159 COG TK421-X £155 BOSS TU-3 £55 BOSS OC-2 about £65 EQD Dispatch Master £159 MXR analog chorus £85 there you go - £678. leaves you £22 for tea.
18.
Got this custom 'Rebel Alliance' Chorus and Delay from Tom this morning. Only had half hour with it today but as you would expect its just fantastic.
any more feedback now you've had it a while? particularly interested in the COG chorus
19. Thanks The TK-421x is amazing – I wanted to like the rat tail and the blower box I had before, but they just didn’t click with me. This thing is immense. The MXR does seem to be getting some good feedback over on TB, but I’m not fussed. The COG is a BEAST.
20. I kind of like the idea, but the smallest board, with a case and 6 of their pedal mounting things is £130. The equivalent sized pedaltrain with velcro and case is £59. Velcro is fine for me, over 100 gigs on my pedaltrain mini and a pedal has never moved in the slightest, despite re-ordering my board every week. I think these metal boards are quite elegant, but very expensive - and as has been said, appear to be quite limiting RE placement.
21. listened to that 3 or 4 times - I wish they'd make a version of the super fuzz with that bias control in a small box...
22. f*** - just watched the demo... that sounds AMAZING! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6y51ipLtyUU
23. Latest setup. Pretty simple, three different flavours of dirt with a dispatch master for volume swells with the muff
24. but it is only to be played whilst wearing a black, tactical turtleneck
25. just the tip
