Another delay?! Will you never learn?!
never thankfully I found my fave octave, OD, fuzz and chorus pedals pretty quickly, but delay is turning into quite the mission!!!

Clearance??? Didn't see that!! Darn you...

Yeah, saw a few demos at lunch and was sold, it sounds great!! Si - guitarguitar...

The perils of free, next day delivery... "Order before 3pm for guaranteed delivery tomorrow". DANGEROUS!! So, catalinbread echorec incoming!!

Have you tried something like the W&C phat phuk (looking at your gear list, something to slam the front of the SVT would be cool, I used to use a phat phuk to push my old 70's bassman into overdrive)

I think the Xotic BB Bass Preamp is pretty damn nice. Not quite as nasty as the OCD, but does a very good low to mid OD. I used to own an OSD but prefer the BB and my other od/distortion pedal (early series fulltone bassdrive)

hey all... so I recently finished an album with my new band, First And Last Men. One of the tracks is up on my soundcloud, I'd be interested to hear what people think https://soundcloud.com/gazthefink/falm-projection
The new TC Electronic HOF pedal is quite cool too.
I am quite interested in this, though thought it would be cheaper, it's only £15-20 less than the regular hall of fame... BUT i only have space for a nano pedal on my board, so right now, tempted!!

Oooooh - supet fuzz as in univox / Fy-6 superfuzz?? Let us know what it's like if that's the case

Just posted this in another thread actually! I finally got a chance to give the Diabolik a proper run out last night after practice (P-bass, old bassman 135 and a 4x12)… and I can confirm it's a great pedal The blend on it is definitely needed, as the fuzz itself can get pretty messed up, but it's a good blend, it doesn't sound like separate fuzz and clean bass signals, which is something I really hate in dirt pedals. With the squeeze control up past 1 o'clock, you can get some great gated sounds, really nasty (in a good way). It would be quite easy to think the pedal is limited as you don't have any tone control, but you can actually get a pretty wide range of sounds out of it. I was liking it, but not loving it, until I started using it after my OC-2, and lowering the volume on my bass, and then I loved it. I've never used a fuzz on bass where turning down your volume can result in such a change to the sound… it really starts to bring out the upper harmonics and octave, and with the OC-2 set to -2 and -1 with no clean signal, and the volume on the bass down somewhere between a third and half volume, I was getting the best synth tones I've ever coaxed out of my rig, almost organ tones. It's a fantastic pedal, but for me is going to be a home and studio tool, as the best sounds (IMO) are squeezed out of this thing at lower input volumes. JMJ said it's not a 'traditional fuzz, and he's right, I'll still be using my tall font Russian for gigs, but this is a cracking pedal, and covers a lot of ground. Totally different beast to a muff J Prac didn't end til gone 12 last night so I was too knackered to record any clips but I'll try and do some next week.
Tried the Diabolik in anger yet? My Fuzzrocious Dark Driving is in the post! Si
and now the wait begins!!! cool, fingers crossed customs isn't too much of a pain I've still just used the Diabolik at home, but practise this Thursday so I'll try and record a few clips if I get a chance... liking it at low volume though

It's such a personal thing and depedant on your choice of bass, amp, cab, strings, plec etc, but personally, i love the Xotic BB bass preamp for light o/d, and for fuzz i love muffs, my fave being the wren and cuff tall font russian

I have a stingray, and know what you mean. All my FX sound great through passive basses, but the fuzz and distortions generally don't sound as good through the stingray. However, a fulltone bassdrive and a BB bass preamp both sound great with my stingray, and they are both tubescreamer based pedals. I don't want to suggest getting a tubescreamer will solve your problem, but for me these types of overdrives work well with my stingray, so maybe worth a try if you can borrow one?
Hope the Diabolik is what you're looking for!
Had a chance for a quick 10 mins today, and i like it! Very different to a muff, it's a spluttery, gated fuzz with a great blend that really meshes with the fuzz. Can't wait to try it properly through the full rig

cheers - it was a tough call to pick between the Diabolik, You're Doom and the Darkglass one... fingers crossed I picked the right one, but I was very tempted by the Doom!!

Pretty chuffed with my haul this year, though not going to be able to try the Diabolik until Friday at the earliest
So yes, my lovely gf ordered me a custom Fuzzrocious Dark Driving from Ryan :-D. It's still being painted I think, so will be delivered when it's done and built. Until then, she wrapped a self-made mock-up Si
awesome - saw this on Ry's facebook and wondered who it was!
I received an Iron Ether Sub-T on Monday and I just got a pretty sweet pile of goodies for Christmas
Nice - killing joke is my favourite Batman story

Soooo, does anyone have any pedal-shaped parcels under the Xmas tree?? I'm (hopefully) going to be unwrapping a Malekko Diabolik tomorrow Happy fuzz Xmas!
-
I wouldn't take any of it to heart, i wish more people were able to invest the time and put up videos of the quality of yours. You'll never please everyone though, play some slow riffs with a P bass for me and Bob and the next guy will say the demos are dull!

Damn it. I was on the waiting list a couple of years back and nobody bothered to tell me they'd stopped making them!! I was wondering if i'd ever hear back, though after seeing how mad Bjorn is on that fuzz documentary, i'm surprised he builds anything
