    my xotic BB bass preamp sounds very good with both my stingray and my precision, so would be my recommendation. prior to that I had an old, pre-MOSFET fulltone bassdrive which also sounded great with both. neither pedal sounded great with my jazz bass though...

    Interesting - it sounds far from dark on the demos i have heard. I was worried it may not be dark enough!

    Hey folks, so I'm selling this on as: 1. I have an MXR analog chorus incoming 2. There is a possible issue with the input jack To expand, pedal works, and sounds v nice (it's the older, analog version of this pedal). Pedal is silent, and awesome really, but if you jiggle your lead when its plugged into the pedal, it makes a loud noise??? No idea, but wanted to mention this all up front in the listing, and hence the lower price. Picture below. Has some scratches but nothing major, pretty good condition for its age.

    ha - started browsing this thread at half time in the footy and had to go play my TFR! i think i'm the opposite to Ant, love low gain o/d and muffy fuzz, but distortion doesn't do that much for me. why the hell did I just buy a sodding rat tail!!! another pedal heading to the classifieds soon!

    i don't think anyone in the UK sells W&C pedals. I think your best bet is to buy from prymaxe in the US. They always have a sale on (currently 15% off the retail price), which will make it much cheaper than the prices you state (with shipping, minus the discount, it would be about $190 US)

    nice choices, and I like the sparkly red!! last time I was in the studio I took my old stache and ended up using the Ge diodes more than the 'no diodes' tone for recording, it's a great tone

    here we go - one Rat Tail!!! not had a chance to try it through anything other than my little practise combo at home so far, but liking it, very aggressive with so much tweakability! get the feeling there are a lot of sounds in here
