I hear what you are saying, in that case theres always youtube reviews to understand how they sound. FWIW when i was in the market for a 10" cab i was recomended the EA wizzy, might be another to consider

not wanting to sound patronising TRY several and make your choice, I like Bergantino cabs for example, some one else aguilar, someone else Ashdown etc etc the list goes on and on. Take the amp with you and try as many as possible would be my advice

For Sale £230 ono or FT - W H Y? Bought new at the end of last year, has only had home use. It has multi effects and digital amp modelling too. This is the new model released in 2011. I tried an identical bass when demoing an amp at mansons and couldn't get over the difference in weight. and have a 'bump' on me.

I've just recently switched to a 5 string too. I sold my 4 string so i could focus slowly on the 5 string solely, i've also taken this opportunity to go back to basics and am currently working my way through the scales and modes book.
