Has any of you played the Guyatone Mo-3 pedal though? cant seem to find any sound clips of it on bass and figured this would be a good place to ask
i would try dr lorider steel(!)maybe the 110, really long lasting and good for rock and plec sound... or if you prefer coated, i would give the elixirs a try did you consider flatwounds?seems paradox to your preference..but maybe with d´addario chromes you will hold a brighter level for a long time, also you get a hard punch and attack with plec in a rock context
im not sure flatwounds would really cut what im after i love the sound of music man bass's with really new strings... but i try and replicate that with bridge pup and active pre amp > sansamp bass driver but i might be wrong what flatwounds would you recommend?
The D'Addario ETB92 Nylon Tapewound strings sound good, and last a long time. No sweat issues with them at all.
are they going to be bright enough? only demo of the strings are on acoustics and fretless's
I had the same problem in my younger days, although I didn't have to pay for my strings so it wasn't too much of a worry. I always had a can of anti perspirant in the gig bag and would give the fingers a blast just prior to playing. Worked a treat but I'm betting someone will be along to say that it's probably not a good idea
OO ill give that a try :] i tried talcum powder but that didnt work at all
If anyone is looking at selling a Civil War Muff or a Green Muff then I'm looking to buy.

That's not too bad really. You see them on ebay for £300 plus sometimes. They never sell, but hey ho. Joe - Good luck in getting a muff, they're very much worth it.
In that case.... joe if you want to buy mine for 300 ;]
Yep it's a tall font. You can tell by the lettering on the front. The other green version is the bubble ones...the writing is rounded and is a lot more common. Still sounds bitchin' though. Can't really remember how much they were. The 2 green's I've had were about £100 each, maybe a bit more with taxes. I had one from the States and one from Canada. Some people moan about how they were £20 when they were new and no-one liked them, and now they're the bees knees because they're discontinued, but I think they are worth the money. Can I ask how much the tall font cost you?
I payed about £120 for mine which is probably too much =P oh well i cant see it coming off the board might get a looper to make sure there is no tone suck and possible a clean blender to try that out
What an excellent muff you have. I've had a few of the later green versions and the black one too. I've always wanted to try the tall font one as word on the intenretz is that it's the best sounding (same as the Civil War muffs I believe). In regards to knobs...not sure. I thought you used to be able to get them from Small Bear electronics in the Stares, but a quick look shows they don't have any. They can come up on the Bay sometimes, but not too often. Sorry...I've not been much help!! Enjoy that green goodness though!
is this the tall font one? when i bought it i wasnt really aware of the 2 and still dont really know the difference how much did u buy your muffs for?

Fender Jag > Sansamp Bass Driver > Sovtek Bassballs > AKAI Head Rush > Green Sovtek Big Muff > Boss V-Wah (only use Uni Vibe setting as i dont like any of the wah sounds) And also a channel selector / Mute ? tuner for my TC Electronics RH 450 All my patch cables are Switch craft / Mogami Cables Allthough i want way more pedals, this is the pedalboard i have for now... Looking for a oc-2 next to make a dreamy synth tone coupled with the big muff and bassballs

I recently bought this old sovtek big muff (possibly for more than its worth) and i have to save IM IN LOVE! the thing has so much low end that i was expecting and so much fuzz! allthough i use this thing on a pretty mild setting, it is capable of getting the most fuzz ive ever heard from a pedal... and ive owned quite a few! anyway... i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a replacement Knob for it as you can see it doesnt have the original one.... although i will miss people asking what the button does on top

Hello guys & girls I am looking to replace the strings on my Fender Jaguar and was wondering if you lot could help me ? I have a HUUUUGEEE problem with strings dying quickly on me as i think i have quite acidic sweat.. strings bright toppy sound last a day or two if im lucky I was considering getting a coating string perhaps? I play mostly with a plectrum and love the tones of Justin Chancellor & Rolo Tomassi's bassist tone on Oh, hello Ghost. I attack the strings hard with the plectrum aswell so if its coated... it has to be able to take a beating Looking to spend £30 or less on these aswel. PLEASE HELP
Boss CE-2 chorus pedal, pretty much a legend. Simply the best chorus pedal (after amdek!) in my opinion. Works brilliantly for bass. Boxed some wear, y'know, it's old! But nothing serious, works just fine and is utter fabby fabness. £45 posted uk I'll swap for a zoom G2
I have a Zoom B2 if you are interested? -
