Hi I thought i would add a pic of the Mesa M6 amp sat on top of my Barefaced Compact and Midget T, just to let you know how good it looks together. Sounds great too. I have a Mesa Boogie M6 carbine for sale or possible trade. It's brand new condition, only used it twice since getting it. I had the original mesa Boogie fathom version of the amp for about 2 years and the nice people at Mesa replaced it free of charge for this brand new M6. They replaced it as some of the early Fathom's can develop over heating problems and they have since upgraded the new M6's to stop the problem. During the transition i bought myself an Orange Terror Bass, and although it's not as versatile etc, it fits my requirements at the moment. It is a standard 2u rackmount size, so fits any standard flight case. It is 600 watts at 4 or 2 ohms and 320 at 8ohm. Plenty of power for most venues, i used the old one at outdoor venues with my 2x12 Mesa powerhouse. I didn't need any PA support. So price wise i am looking for £1050, cash or bank transfer only. Maybe trade for a really nice bass of same value, like a music man classic or Rickenbacker etc. I can ship as i have the original packaging. Sorry about the dropbox pics, i can't seem to upload any to this page. thanks for looking thebassman

I've got a 13" Late 2008 Apple MacBook Aluminium up for sale. It's in good working order, with no marks on the screen. It has one dent in the side of the casing, see pics, other than that it only has a few very small scuffs. It runs Garageband great so is great for home recording, this is installed as part of iLife. iPhoto is also installed. It has been upgraded to 4GB RAM and a 500 GB Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid hard drive 7200 RPM and 4Gb flash on board. This makes it way faster than the stock 160Gb. It has been running Mountain Lion, but i have re-formatted it and installed Snow Leopard and iLife 08. It has had very little use, the Battery cycle count is only 79. Also included is a TechAir laptop bag, this is where it has spent all its life. All original disks are included and Original magsafe UK power supply. It really is in excellent condition, except for the small dent. Late '08 Aluminium MacBook: Part Number: MB466B/A Model Number: A1278 - 2.0GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo - 8x slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW) Here's a link to the Apple OEM page: I am looking for £500 delivered. Thanks for looking.

There is a great thread over on TalkBass sharing patch ideas: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/zoom-b3-patch-ideas-918990/ Might be good for us to start something similar on here. It would be great to get some actual settings listed. Cheers Thebassman

After many weeks of window shopping, I've just finally ordered one of these £137 from Thomann. Can't wait to get it and start playing :-)

Thats brilliant, thanks.

That's cool. So you can just plug a standard USB cable between Zoom B3 and computer and it shows up in GarageBand? Excellent, might have to get one. Cheers Thebassman

Hi guys I'm looking at getting the Zoom B3 pedal, but i have a quick question. Can you connect the USB of the Zoom B3 to a PC/MAC and use it as an input into Garageband. I want to use it for recording etc. It looks like the pedal is shipped with Steinberg sequel, not quite sure what this is though. Cheers thebassman
Hello there, As much as I love this amp for it's tone and looks, I've left my band and can't see me using it in the near future and therefore I can't justify keeping it... Here's some pictures: I bought this last year from thebassman - his post here http://basschat.co.u...ssman-135-1978/ He'd had this amp from new I believe and is from 1978. As you can read in his post he spent a lot of cash servicing this amp replacing the caps etc.
Loads of happy gigging memories with this amp. If I had the cash I would buy it back.
A few weeks ago I had the chance to try a Mesa 2 x 10 against my Compact. The Compact was my preferred sound by a long
I must admit, I have never been a fan of 2x10 cabs either. Cheers Thebassman
Warwick castle, Shakespear etc its all very romantic and well worth a visit, especially the industrial estate where the Bard wrote much of his stuff
I make a pilgrimage every year. Sometimes I get to look at the sites too!! I was looking at the the classic 5 last night, It ticks all the right boxes.
Did you try the Compact and Midget singly, and not just together? It might be worth trying that if you are not getting what you want from the combination of the two. I really found the Midget changed the character of the sound when used atop the Compact. And not forgetting, a little bit of settling/breaking-in of the drivers will happen - that also has an effect on the tone. Good luck Geoff
I only tried them as a pair at rehearsals. I have emailed Alex and he has offered some good options to try out. I will give it a go. Btw, the cabs are approx 18 months old, so they are well and truly run in. Cheers Thebassman
thebassman - email me! As Chris said, you've changed a lot of variables and the cabs fatten up and smoother as they're run in.
Emailed
