They are awesome. They measure 200W of clean power, with slight overdrive where it sounds best you get a hell of a lot more volume!
Sounds promising, I only ask as I have a bassman 135 and although it has fantastic tone it gets lost in the mix sometimes. I guess those extra 65 watts would make a difference. Cheers Thebassman
Hi, I need a set of Mesa Trak-Loc 3" casters. The Mesa distributor in our country don't has it in his pricelist..
Hi In the UK we use westside distribution. They have always been helpfull in my experiences with them. Send them an email "" cheers thebassman
Anyone here play one? They good for loud, heavy rock? I've liked the clips I heard but I haven't really seen anyone playing rock bass on them, just jazzy noodlings and slap bass. Cheers!
Can't comment on the m3, but I have the M6 carbine and it kicks ass. It covers all kind of tones from soft jazzy noodleing to in your face rock tone. Have a look on talkbass, they get a lot of love on there. Cheers Thebassman
Thanks for the reply Bassman, but I`m not seeing anything specifically Ampeg there. The basket one does look close though. I have a few sources for good looking Tolex but none that match Ampegs modern version. MM
I see your problem. I ended up buying Marshall red for my Fender bassman 135, mainly just to annoy the Fender purists though lol. It is very good quality stuff though. I do remember some eBay sellers doing Ampeg stuff a while ago. Cheers Thebassman

I used these guys a few years ago, the tube amp doctor from Germany. They do a good range of tolex and the right glue, great "efficient" service too. heres a link: http://www.tubeampdoctor.com/catalog.php?p...ct_search=tolex cheers thebassman
that is, by far, the nicest looking Ray I haver EVER seen - amazing with the see thru scratchplate. if it was a 5 string i'd be seriously looking thru the bank accounts now. lovely!
That is gorgeous!! I can't make out from the pics; the darker spots on the neck and fret board, is that figuring or dinks? If it's dinks, how did that happen?
Thats good, i was about to ask that question. I had an email from Alex about the Bassman 135, he said it's a quiet amp and the increased SPL on the S12T won't make a lot of difference. Still will be loud enough for pub gigs though, and the sound is fantastic, so i shall not let that put me off. cheers thebassman
It says in the spec that the super 12t has wheels. Are there 2 or 4 wheels? If 2 is it a tilt back with a handle? Anyone got any pics? Cheers Thebassman
That's the post....but it does show the original 'bastard.
It has to be solid state power section. If you think a Mesa 400+ is only 300 watts and it has 12 6l6's in the output stage. It would be the size of a small house and weigh the same lol.

You know what they say "if it aint broke etc." I would trust "Bergantino" to know what they are doing.
Looks like the imminent arrival of the RH750 is pushing new prices on the RH450 right down. US dealers now selling these for just $569. That's about £360 plus shipping at maybe £35-£40 and even with full import duties you're only looking at around the £475 mark! Seems like a great time to buy one of these
That is if the US music shops will ship to the UK. I tried getting some Ampeg gear a few years back and some of the bigger stores, said they were not allowed to export, something to do with world Market price fixing. Lucky for some if they do though.
The QSC PLX in my Gator 4U shallow is 13.25" deep from the rack rails and fits perfectly so your M6 should. The SKB shallow cases are aimed at rack effects whilst the Gator ones are deep enough to fit compact power amps and have rear rack rails to handle the weight.
Well I ordered the Gator 2u shallow case from Thomann, cost about £60 delivered. I fitted it this afternoon and it fits perfect. I have it plugged into my Mesa 2*12 combo cab at the moment, looks good and makes the cab far more manageable Now I just need to decide whether to keep the Mesa cab or sell it and get a super12. Cheers Thebassman

Put "Rack Case 2U" into the quick search and see what comes up.
Yeah i have, thats where i got the Gator GR-2S from, they are a good price also. The racking depth isn't very clear though either on there or on the Gator website. I want to keep the case as small as possible. thanks for the link thebassman
Sounds good, i have used Flightcase Warehouse in the past, only for one of their wooden/ foam cases. That was great although very heavy, the plastic cases look much more appealing. cheers thebassman
Has anyone tried or got the Gator gr-2s. If so can you measure the racking depth, the website is a bit rubbish. Cheers Thebassman
I've had a Gator 4U shallow for ages - it's a bit over 13" deep from the rack ears. How deep is the M6?
According to the data sheet, it's 13-1/8" deep (thats 333mm for the metric people). That's interesting that it's deeper, the SKB shallow 2U states maximum mounting depth is 10.5" (266mm). cheers thebassman
Take a look at the Boschma cases. I don't own one but I know someone who does and it's a very sturdy bit of kit.
