+1 for the Korg DT10. Very reliable, easy to read on a dark stage, and pretty robustly built.
Not sure if your interested but I have a Music Man Sub 5 string in pretty much near mint Shannon
PM'd, and all other PMs replied to. I'm actually away at our drummer's wedding this weekend, and won't have internet access until Sunday night. So apologies in advance for any delay in replying to posts or PMs - I'm not ignoring you!!
As much as I love the Stringray its only recently I started picking up the P again and remembered why I fell in love with it in the first place. The neck profile is massive and the whole thing just gives off a simpler time vibe, with the thumb rest in the odd position, Duncan p/up and bridge cover with a mute under it it just feels right, although I play in a punk/emo/rock band and the look is so wrong for it
I know what you mean - my P is the only one of my basses I've never considered selling!
A cash price sir?
I'm really after trades at the moment. I'm not desperate to shift this, as its a cracking bass. More a case of seeing whether there's something nice out there with five strings to trade. But if you want to make a cash offer, feel free!
I would heartly recommend one of these guitars!
They're seriously good aren't they! They look and sound better than anything else in this price bracket IMO (and better than a lot of basses costing twice as much).

Very nice. Mark Bass plus Stingray is what I'm gigging with at the moment - fantatstic combination!

I'm looking to trade my BO Thumb 4 string for a 5 string of some sort. I'm fairly open minded as to what, although preferences would be Warwick, Sandberg or a Stingray 5, but if you have something else try me! Its absolutely mint (the only marks are where the MEC logo has worn off the pickup covers - which seems to happen on all of them). Its got a really nice grain, and has been regularly waxed with Warwick wax. Fantastic growly Warwick tone, and a really nice player. As with all Thumbs, its not a featherweight, but there really are no issues at all with it. I'm only putting up for trade as its fallen behind the Shuker and Musicman, and I could do with a five string (although please feel free to try on me on 4 strings too - I'm pretty susceptible to spontaneous random GAS!).

Got to be worth a punt at that price - if only it wasn't that colour!
yeah i think they do, though i didn't like the body on your thumb when i tried it. it might be different on a strap though
I think Thumbs are a bit of an acquired taste. Awesome tone though!
big hands eh? i liked the warwick neck, had a jazz width but really thick profile, really weird but oddly comfortably
Yep - that was possibly the most comfortable bass I've played. Strangely, it felt nicer than my Thumb - although I'd always assumed BO Warwicks all had the same necks?
Little update from me! Sold on the CIJ Jazz as I just wasn't getting on with it, and had GAS for this! My new Shuker Jazz.
Now that is nice! I've played a couple of Jon's Jazzes, and they are simply stunning - congratulations!
yeah the reggie was really nice, AMAZING neck, if i was ever to have another jazz bass, it would be one of them, no doubt about it (if i could find one).
I miss my old Jazz, but to be honest the neck was a bit skinny for my taste - much prefer a MM or Warwick profile.

Lots of nice stuff there for four years! The G&L looks great, and those Reggie Hamiltons always look cool. And as much as I like the old $$, you got a cracking trade for the LE 'ray!

Congratulations on both counts. Those mocha Fenders look fantastic - a real 70s vibe to them.
If i had advertised this body has having seymour duncan pickups with cts pots and swithcraft jack then people would have been all over this advert like a ferret up a drainpipe, but because the name is "Johnson" all the bass snobs automatically think its a load of c**p, the body is a solid Alder body which is a quality piece of wood which ever way you look at it, i suggest all you bass snobs really get a life as your giving all genuine bass players a bad name. The original advert i had no replies but no doubt i"ll have plenty replies to this one. Get a grip people, your an embarrasment to the bass playing community
If its any consolation, in my experience the "bass snobs" are not buying Warwicks or Musicman at the moment either!
I dont want to model amps, i have one! or any of that guff, i just want a smaller, lighter effect solution that allows me to add individual effects to my sound like stomp boxes do. Ideally some Real straightforward set and forget, like pedals, but less of a pain to lug about!
Given those two comments, have you looked at the Boss ME-50B? I use mine in "stomp box" mode, which effectively lets you operate compression, EQ, drive, and modulation effects all individually (as you would individual pedals). Personally I find that much more flexible, and much more like using individual effects, which is what I'm used to! You can programme patches if you wish, but live I leave the compression on all of the time, and switch the individual effects in and out as needed.

Gibson basses you don't see very often

The Victory is fantastic - have aways had GAS for one of these, although I've no idea what they sound or play like!
