Ok - so in the vein of the 'how many basses do we own on basschat' thread - how many pedals do we own?
My wife wants to know if I'm 'normal' with my collection.... -
Absolute bargain. I'd snap it up but i already have one. Doug Wimbish uses (used?) one for overdrive tones...

Did anyone see Explosions in the Sky last night in Manchester?
Amazing gig. Some really heart-felt bass and an amazing audience reaction. -
top bloke, ace bass!
-
Danny Carey
or Matt Chamberlain (Tori Amos)... -
Anyone know what has happened to GM Audio in Essex? I was hoping to get my trace elliot head serviced but their phone number is dead and the website's down. Doesn't sound good...
Can anyone recommend any other trace elliot servicers?

The EHX small clone is also good if you like big sounds. It can also do some crazy warbles too. sk8 has one for sale for £32 btw.
i love the chorus/detune on my whammy
+1 on this. the chorus on my bass whammy is sweet -
pick up an old Boss CE5 (pre 2001 unit). Much better than the CE3B in my opinion.
My fave chorus sound was the one on my now deceased Boss ME8B board... -
Ok - Price drop to £200 delivered

I'm a Van Halen fan but atrocious!!!!
-
Bought a pedal from Mike. Ace to deal with!!!!

'Rockwood' by Hohner 4 string in bright red.
Pile of s***.
Part ex'ed it for a Bass Collection in '95 which I still own... -
Tony Kanal from No Doubt.
I just love playing 'Spiderwebs' and 'Different People'. Tragic Kingdom has a perfect mix of funk/ska/pop/rock/punk/reggae/disco playing
Even 'Don't Speak' has got a pretty good melodic line too.

I did the course a couple of years ago and I can thoroughly recommend it. That's me on John's page with the jazz bass and clerks T-shirt.
The course is really rewarding and you come back with a really good quality instrument. That went for all four of us on the course...
The guy in the picture above me was younger than 15 but his Dad did the course as well. Best to ask John.
John is an excellent teacher. He has just the right balance between letting the student do almost all of the work but helping where necessary. Some people might think the course is quite expensive at £600 odd but considering the level of tuition and quality of materials and instrument produced I think it was bloody good value. You of course get to take the bass home with you.
I would like to do the second course but it may have to wait until my 9 week old daughter is a bit older...
