  1. Hasn't he got a twin neck which is BEAD and EADG tuned. Couldn't quite see the point of that myself...
  2. Yes - defretted by Martin Peterson (of the Gallery and Seibass fame) and he did a very good job as you'd expect...
  3. still available...
  4. Lost Prophets - back in the day. I remember their van broke down on the way over from Wales to Sheffield so they got to the venue really late and were a bit peeved. They had all just got a wireless setup and Lee Glaze ended up having loads of problems and stormed off stage. Still very nice lads apparently - I was a bit scared to talk to them though.. I remember watching them from the side of the stage and thinking they're a cut above us (my band) and were definitely going somewhere! Despite the bad rap it gets now those nu-metal years ('99 to '01) were good times... plus a lot of good UK bands too...
  5. Yamaha Fretless 5 String - Lined £200 including delivery. PENDING TRADE In very good condition. Some very slight dings which i couldn't even photo and some slight tarnishing to the gold hardware. Otherwise as good as new. I bought it new in 98/99 for around £450. Yamaha soapbars and active circuit. Controls are vol, pot pan, treble and bass. Separate battery compartment. Maple finish on the back of the neck. Model number is RBX765A. Great introduction to fretless. It has elites flatwounds on for that 'mwah' sound... Reluctant sale but I have recently gained a daughter and upgraded to a modulus fretless at the same time!
  6. Roland EV-5 Expression Pedal - SOLD What can I say - industry standard expression pedal for Boss pedals and more. Boxed with instructions - as new.
  7. I have pm'd. I'll take it if it's not already gone...
  8. I'm having a clearout of stuff I've built up over the years to fund nappy purchases... Elites unused stainless steel roundwound strings - all in as new condition: Heavy four string set: 50,70,90,110 - £6 including postage - SOLD (I used to play in a band that detuned four semi-tones - these were left over when we tuned back up!) Misc spare strings (don't make up a set but handy as spares) : 45, 65, 80, 85, 125 - £5 including postage - SOLD
  9. DOD Stereo Flanger - FX75B Excellent pedal in excellent condition. Fully functional. No box or instructions. SOLD Does Tool sounds and classic jet sounds when you add distortion. Great swirly sounds in stereo.
  10. I was addicted for a while but I'm back with the real thing now. Playing the guitar lines is ace but it has to be said playing bass in two player mode is exceedingly boring though. i can't wait for 'Rock Band' to come out - drums as well!
  11. stewart, cheers for that link. I was thinking exactly the same think about schaller straplocks this morning! Problem solved!
  12. Yes the red jazz seems to be his standard drop tuned bass. Just been watching the Show of hands DVD and the sound he got from his Wal bass is amazing. Now I know where Les Claypool gets his tone from! Geddy - bring back the Wal!!
  13. ah - I got the non-DVD version of the album - doh!
  14. I went and agree with most of the above comments. It's a pity they couldn't have slipped in a few more classics for the fans as the audience reaction to Natural Science, Subdivisions etc was amazing! Personally I missed Roll the Bones, Driven, and The Pass but that's just me. I'd echo the comments of a poster from one of the other gigs - the only bass that sounded any good was the Jaco copy. You could actually hear it for a start! Was it a fretless because if it was he didn't really play it fretless style! Jon

    My new Wal

Lovely basses. I was intrigued by that reel to reel thing in the background. What is it?
  16. Maye we should set up a bass collection owner's club - like the Shuker club on this site or the Sei owner's club on TalkBass. Or am i just sad?
  17. Bass Collections regularly come up on the bay and go for very low prices (£200 or less). I can't recommend them enough - I own four!!! So if you missed out on this one keep looking!
  18. Is the verbzilla still available?
  19. Bigwan, Please tell me more about the U-retro... which model is it? Jon
