Bump for £275 collected, or delivered for petrol costs. In reply to the quite a few pms I got offering trades - I am ONLY interested in trades for the items stated a few times in the thread, here it is again Schroeder cabs 1210L, 1515L. I am NOT interested in any other bass cabinets. Set of decent 5 string J pickups (92-95mm)

Here it is, all done Sounds good, just need to find her a couple of nice pickups That's how it all started: Saw this for sale for 50 quid... First thing to do - put a new bridge: Second... The neck was the dirtiest I've ever seen. It was time for some cleaning. Who said alcohol doesn't do no good...? Some shielding Battery digging... that took a while Preamp was a tight fit... And... all done! My apologies to all the luthiers, this is my first attempt in modifying and I've got no experience in digging holes in wood/electronics

Right... After I've discovered a fault in the preamp of the bass, I am relisting it as spares/repair. The preamp isn't working so that will suit someone who would replace it. The piezo bridge is working fine. Original fault was the tone pot that wasn't working (might as well have been something else but the pot wasn't affecting the tone) After a dreadful attempt of removing the pot from the board by myself, I have damaged the board a little bit too. Buy only if you intend to replace the preamp! Or if you want to install a pickup - seen a couple of those modified on the net. Warning: Aria UK told me Aria no longer sell replacement parts for their products so be aware you won't be able to purchase a replacement. Comes with a soft case and it's missing the aluminium skeleton £60 collected from W/NW London

Right... Withdrawing due to fault discovered. When I bought the bass off ebay, I didn't actually realise the tone pot isn't working as I used it on full, played on couple of gigs and left it in the corner. Last week I had a sale agreed, took it out to make sure I'm selling a properly working bass and then realised the pot isn't doing anything. After a bit of reading I realised it's definitely broken. Contacted Aria UK who said Aria doesn't do replacement parts any more (how nice of them) so I had a choice of paying a tech to try to fix it or bin it... The bass will be relisted as spares/repair and priced accordingly.

In fact posting here instead of sending a pm might be helpful for other users who haven't seen this ad... It's the seller's responsibility to mark the item as sold when it's gone, this one hasn't so might be still for sale... I do perform a search when I need something particular but very often I spot wanted ads where someone's looking for something I happened to have pm'd the seller from a few months old thread and it turns out still available, but because it wasn't in the first 3-4 pages people missed it, so... I think nothing wrong with reviving an old thread

+1 Absolutely different beasts. All Warwicks are boosted in the mids, bit warmer than a Stingray. I personally prefer the Ray as it sits lower sound wise but it's still very focused and cuts through. Warwicks (please don't throw stones at me) always sounded to me like a cross between a bass and a baritone guitar, very audible but not supporting the mix in the lows as good as a Ray or a Fender P or a Jazz with both pups on. But still it depends on the type of music you are playing, in some cases the Warwick might be more suitable than a Ray. Not for me though.

Why oh why didn't I win the lottery? Probably should have bought a ticket first... http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/fender-precision-bass-1968-1969/1045913575

Please excuse the ignorance but... what is this thing? -
also this looks like could be worht a watch for any peeps in the midlands looking for a 5 http://www.ebay.co.u...G-/370992211764
I'm not a Yamaha expert but on their web site there's no LN model listed. This one looks quite a lot like a BBN5 mark 1 I bought on gumtree recently for £chips, nowhere near the asking £185 + 22 postage. I've heard those go for around £150
