Nordstrand MM5.2 for trade for 5.3
Steff replied to Steff's topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale

Hello fellow basschaters, I just bought a Nord MM5.2 from here as a replacement to my stock musicman stingray5 pickup. It turns out the right replacement for me is 5.3, as the 5.2 doesnt have the additional coil at the bottom. I've managed to wire it (thanks basschat!) and it sounds awesome, however I can only get the series and parallel positions, the single coil isn't working properly due to the different wiring and the missing extra coil The pickup is nearly new, comes with the original box and wiring diagram. So if anyone has a 5.3 and is looking for a 5.2, please get in touch. I will also consider buying a 5.3 if anyone has one for sale Steff

Well when I play my stingray5 I usually dial a bit of bass, mids and highs from the bass eq and just a little bit more bottom from the amp, but my jazz I definitely need to boost a few more frequencies from the amp but that's the thing with this amp, there's plenty of options as it has such a big eq - lows, highs, presence, parametric low mid and high mid and on top of all that a 7 graphic eq... very very versatile I'd say.

I got one, wouldn't say the build quality is poor... Gigged it for quite a while now, it really feels built like a tank. Powers up my two Epi cabs quite nicely might consider selling it soon tho, just too heavy for 4 gigs/week... Actually I've been considering that a few times already but then I take it at a gig and after I play it, all the selling thoughts are gone lol...

I am offering one of mine or both amps for a EBS TD650 as I have 2 epifani 3x10 cabs and need an amp that does 2 ohm. The Laney does it and sounds sweet but it's too heavy to use 3-4 nights a week and that's why I am looking for something lighter. Cash adjustments accepted either way Markbass LittleMark II - got it a year and a half ago, done many gigs with it, only failed me once and it was the preamp which I've replaced with a new one that costed me £150. A few marks here and there, but in a great working shape. I'd say £300 value. Can email photos if needed but I am sure we all know about those little workhorses (or work ponies maybe? . Laney Nexus tube 400 - 400watt valve monster with switchable valve/solid state preamp (both can be used at the same time too). Works great but indicates 2 of the end tubes need to be replaced, I'd recommend a full re-valve anyway. I've had it for 2 years and haven't gigged it much cos it is about 40kg... Sounds sweet and has a parametric as well as graphic eq, compressor and all that... £550 and comes with a Silverstone case. That goes for a straight sale too cos it's now been in the corner for a year and it breaks my heart to seeing it unused but at least it doesn't break my back. I'd consider offers for another Markbass too, or any other amp if there's one that goes down to 2oHm in order to drive my two 310 epis (5.2 ohm each). Lightweight please. Only heavyweight amp I'd consider is a Mesa 400+. London, local pick-up only. 07889264587 Steff

Hiya guys, I have two Epis, mark I and mark II and to be honest I prefer the sound of the I series - it's less scooped and it is a little bit lighter. So I've decided to look for another mark I ul310. The cab is gigged but in good shape, will try to post photos later. The cab is worth somewhere around £400. Ideally I'm looking for another UL310 mark I, but will consider other trades for cabs of the same class, or 2x10, try me. Definitely not after bigger/heavier cab. Been there already. Based in NW London, not very keen on shipping but I can travel. 07889264587 - Steff.

Hi guys, I need a replacement for the band I'm currently touring with. Heres the deal: The tour is around all haven holiday parks, every weekend from now til the end of October. Pay is £130 per gig. The band is Kent/Surrey based, traveling on a tour van with a few meeting points around the M25. It's one hour set backing up a known singer from the 70/80s and another 45min of covers. The job involves a bit of driving (shared between the band members) and a bit of gear lifting - sometimes more, sometimes less. Meeting time is Friday morning - noon somewhere around London, going to the gig, setting up, sound check, gig, pack up, sleep at a caravan (that's paid for), wake up, drive to the next gig, set up, hang around for a while until the gig (in some cases there's a caravan on the second day too), finish the gig, pack up and drive back to the meeting point where you've left your car. Bear in mind haven parks are all over the uk - including Scotland and Wales. Payment comes with only a week delay. Charts are provided. Music is soul/Motown for the first set, pop covers for the second. Looking for someone who's professional and got experience. The band is great and atmosphere is amazing. If that sounds like something you wanna do, text me on 07889264587.

Great guy to deal with - just bought a cabinet and a speaker from Laurence, he not only arranged a super fast shipment, but threw in a spare cabinet cover as well. Pleasure to do business with, highly recommended.

Stuee bought two cabinets from me a few weeks ago (sorry for the late feedback mate). Great bloke, drove to mine, picked up, was flexible on payment - recommended! Steff
