Just bought a Schroeder cab from Luke - he is a great guy to deal with, great communication. The cab is in top shape, as he's described it. Would love to do business with him again.

5. Hi mate, Sorry it didn't work out for you, but if you want a piece of advice - play with it for another couple of weeks and try EQ-ing it in a different way... this is a great amp and I can tell you - I absolutely loved the sound of it with your bass and your playing. In fact, if I had the money, I would have buy it back for myself... As for the Elixir strings - as I told you - you whether love them or hate them, but if you love them, that's a guaranteed great tone for about 3-4 months . Sorry for the off-topic, it's a bump for a great head and a great guy anyway.

Steff's gigs

Hello there, Just thought I'd let you know my band Legs11 is playing at the O'Neills in Soho, 33-37 Wardour str, W1D 6PU tonight. Everyone who's around and up for a few beers and a bit of a laugh is most welcome. We play 11pm to 1am, mostly up to date songs, female singer. I've heard them saying the band is not bad at all . Hope to see you there! Steff. Edit: Decided to do it, cos I am playing with quite a few bands, so no point opening a new thread for all of them. Will post all my gigs here. If anyone fancies coming and saying hello and have a bass or any chat, he's more than welcome.
9. Bass 400+ is now sold. Cabs still up for grabs, will take offers.
10. ...And replied to . Bass 400+ on hold! Now taking offers for the cabs! Already got a deal on some EBS cabs, so I would let those go.
11. Hi there, I've decided to move on and get a bit lighter rig, since I am gigging 2-5 times a week, my current one's weight started becoming an issue. What I have for sale/trade is: 1. Mesa/Boogie Bass400+ - you all know the one, it's a true classic. 300 watts of valve power, 4 preamp valves, 12 output valves. My one has been serviced by Mike Hill last December, fully revalved with Electro Harmonix (3) and a NOS Phillips (1) in the preamp, and 12x 5881WXT Sovtecs. It's in a great shape, no issues, looks mint except for the 4 chips at the front made by the previous rack case I was using - you can see those on the photos. Nice and clean on the inside. Asking price for that one would be SOLD. Would not post - have some bad experience with posting lately, and the postage for that one wouldn't be cheap. I am happy to drive half way or even all the way for the cost of the petrol. Otherwise - collected from West London. 2. Mesa/Boogie 2x10 powerhouse, 600W at 8 oHm. It's been gigged well, has a few dents on it, nothing major though, otherwise in a great shape. Can provide detailed photos of the dents upon request. Price is £350/offers - SOLD!. Would trade for a similar value (+ - £50, £100 - show me what you've got) 2x10, 4x10 or 2x12 cab, preferably EBS proline series. 3. Mesa/Boogie 1x18 cab , 400W at 8 oHm. A truly amazing cab, full range (I guess it plays something like 40hz to 2kHz, not really sure), this is not a sub cabinet. That one's got a bit more dents on it but again, it's only on the leather covering it, nothing major. In a great playing state. Price £350/offers. Would trade for a 1x15, 2x12, 4x10, again preferably an EBS Proline, but do not hesitate to pm' me what you've got for trade. I am based in London, you are welcome to contact me and come to a gig and hear how does it sounds. Edit: Would accept trade offers for the amp too. Definitely not a Markbass/TC/Genz guy, and it has to be 300W and more if valve, 500 and more if transistor/mosfet. The head doesn't come with the rack case, unless you have a 4U rack case to go my way. ALL SOLD!
12. Yet another price drop! Come on people, I don't wanna e-bay this...
13. Cheers dude! I think it works pretty well as a preamp, or in a combination with a non-valve amp. Now trade options available: would accept a trade + cash my way for a nice octave pedal, i.e. MXR Octave deluxe or EBS Octabass black label.
14. In fact you are right, you can plug two 16ohm cabs in the two 8ohm outputs of the amp... Although I haven't seen a 16ohm bass cabinet. And you can't use a single 16ohm with that amp. Well you can, but it's not recommended. Sorry for the off-topic, but I think that might help the potential buyer. And it's a free bump .
15.
I had the same setup a few years ago, IIRC my cab was two 8ohm inputs. The head was definitely 300W (12x25w?) ped
The 1516 cab has two 8ohm inputs if you run it bi-amped and one 4ohm input if you run it full range.
16. Hi mate, Has that head being modified, because those usually produce 300W continuous power and (not sure) around 450W peak? I've never heard of a 400+ capable of doing 600W... Cheers, Steff. edit: Also the outputs on these are usually 4, 8 and 2ohm, not 16ohm.
