  1. No joke mate... It's just my crappy English that makes it looks confusing. Sorry about that .
  2. Hmm... As far as I know, there's no harm of touching the glass. Will check that later with a friend of mine, who's a valve maniac. Be careful when pulling out, because they're usually fit tight in the socket. Don't try to pull it straight up, better combine pulling with gentle left-right moves, and watch not to bump the valve into another one or an edge when it finally comes out. Just had a word with my tech friend - no harm touching the glass part.
  3. I can share my experience with the Mesa I bought 3 days ago, it has similar problem. At a rehearsal yesterday after playing for an hour, I thought it started being quieter, but then I thought it's just my ears. Then I heard funny cracking noises through the cab and I saw a miniature lightning storm from the back ... It was still running though... There was no smoke or smell though. I couldn't really see where the blue lightning comes from. So I went home and opened it. Checked the sockets for loose connections or signs of burning, but there were none. I've pulled out the valve that I thought I saw blue sparking earlier and first knocked it with my finger, and it was making this clinking noise. At closer inspection I saw little white particles inside, like burnt at a high temperature metal. So I guess it's just that valve has gone bad, already ordered two and will replace them as soon as I get them. You might wanna do the same - take the valves out and check them by gently knocking them with a finger or a pencil, there shouldn't be any "ringing" sound and take a close look at the inside, if you see any loose particles - that's a good sign a valve's gone bad. And the one that was bad on mine, was still "working", if I didn't suspect the sparks have come from that one, I couldn't tell there's something wrong. Sorry for my English and I hope that helps.

  8. Just decided to post a link to my beloved band I used to play with back in Bulgaria... Check it out! We've recorded live the last gig I have played with them... If there's a similar band in London that needs a bass player, I will gladly join! Enjoy! 15. Yet another bump... Come on, guys, I know you want it ... Would trade for a Marshall VBA400 or a Mesa Bass400+...
  16. There's a plenty of interest, but a lack of cash I guess... If I had the money, one of these heads would have been mine already. Bump for the greatest bass amps ever!
  17. Bump for a beautiful bass!
  18. Bump. No one after Ampeg??? Can't believe it...
  19. Hey dude, Can't sell them separately - I can't afford to be without a bass amp even for a day. But if you look up in this thread you will see an user called "Dubs", who was asking me for the preamp - you can contact him if you want and split the payment, just decide who's gonna take the rack case ...
  20. Possible trade for Marshall VBA400 or Mesa/Boogie Bass 400+(+some cash your way).
  21. Hey mate, thanks Obviously we are busy at the same time, otherwise I would enjoy meeting you for a drink and bass-chat ... Maybe some week day at Queen's arms. Cheers!
  22. Price reduced bump!
  23. I have used the DBS 72410 which is with 4x10, but the head is the same. It is a great amp - built like a tank, very balanced tone, I was playing a lot of different genres - worked well for all of them. Not very loud, so on some gigs I had to use an additional 18' cab and another amp. Other than that - I would say it's a great combo, I think the 72115 won't be that different. I am pretty sure you'll be happy with that combo. Well... it weights a lot but since you gonna use it for rehearsals, you won't have any problems. Cheers, Steff. Edit: Sorry, I missed that - rehearsals AND SMALL GIGS... Well in my opinion will handle the small gigs, but bear in mind it is VERY heavy... I have always handled myself all my gear, even my 1516 Mesa, which was a fridge, but this combo was really giving me a hard time... It is a torture to lift it and carry it by yourself, even if you are a really fit guy. But still worth it because of its sound.
  24. Now Ampeg SVP 1500 power amp + Ampeg svt IIp preamp + Road Ready rack case for sale - 600GBP! Will consider trade offers too! Valid until this Friday only!
