FS: Eden WTX 500 & EX112 Cab - SOLD Locally
Scooby replied to Scooby's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale

The clearing continues... The imminent house move results in more of my gear being put up for sale. Here is my Eden rig that has only been used in the house. It is small, lightweight and loud! Details on both the cab and amp are below. In the shell of a nut, the amp is brilliant, having a wide tonal range with loads of headroom. The cab is surprisingly loud for such a small enclosure. Both items are only a few weeks old - bought purely to use when teaching bass so has, mainly, only ever been played at low volumes and for a total of approx 5-6 hours. The WTX500 comes with the Eden padded gig bag. The cab is the 8ohm version meaning it is easy to add an additional 8ohm cab for the full benefit of the amp. The rig cost (GAK) £889 (not including the gig bag) but I'm asking £575/b] for the amp, cab and gig bag. All items are in mint condition.
What about 10.9 Mavericks?
I haven't used Logic Pro 8 on my new system. However, as far as I understand there are some issues surrounding graphic optimisation - http://createdigitalmusic.com/2013/10/os-x-mavericks-compatibility-music-audio-software-updates-resources-advice/ I would guess that there may be some other issues but it would appear that Logic 8 will run but Logic X might be a better option.

With the ongoing 'sort out' of music related 'stuff', I have 7 issues of Bass Guitar Magazine from 1994/1995 and the majority of issues from number 39 - 106. There are some missing issues - loaned to friends but still 'on loan', and some I just never got around to buying. The condition of the mags is good on the whole, but a few are very well read and the covers show obvious signs of being well thumbed. I'm looking at around £40 but feel free to PM me with your thoughts
Lovely... if you decide the ONLY solution is free long term storage in Scotland I'd be happy to take the job on...
Thanks for the offer but I would have to charge you £700 for the privilege of having two pieces of bass art luxuriating in Scotland.

FS: Schack 3 Band EQ Pre Amp - SOLD
Scooby replied to Scooby's topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
Hi Can you let me know the dimensions of the board please. Daz
Hi The board is 55mm x 60mm. The board was mounted on the underside of the control cavity cover (double-sided tape), which seems to be the usual way Martin installs Schack pre amps on Sei basses. -
FS: Schack 3 Band EQ Pre Amp - SOLD
Scooby replied to Scooby's topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
is this 9V? For passive or active pick ups?
The Sei has two batteries so I'm assuming it's an 18v system. The luthier suggests that the pre amp is compatible with either active or passive pups. There seems to be a growing trend to have an active pre amp and passive pups! Hope that helps. -
I'm selling a fully functioning Schack 3 Band EQ Pre Amp. This has been removed (professionally) by a luthier from my Sei Flamboyant bass. The pre amp is approx 4/5 years old and was originally installed by Martin alongside a pair of Kent Armstrong pups. Fantastic sound but wanted to have an Aguilar OBP-3TK/PP installed in the Sei. The peer amp comes with the fully adjustable - via dip switches - board, volume, pan, bass, treble and mid pots and the jack socket. I also have a print out of the EQ settings with Bass: 100-300hz, Treble: 2.0-8k and Mid: 500-1.5k. All very easy to adjust to your own preferences. I'm asking for £50 posted to mainland UK.

Roon bought my pedal train 2. I am so pleased to have been able to contribute to his tap dancing skill set. I'm sure his performances will now be most enjoyable and a visual feast. Apart from his footwork, Roon is an ace guy to deal with. Cheers.
Yes.
Perhaps I should have said "Smelling farts is good for your health - generally discuss" Does it matter if it is a general discussion concerning an odd piece of research or off the topic of playing bass? It is an amusing piece of research - I would not have liked to have been involved in the field research though - and generally related to the topic of low rumbles disguised by folk who make low rumbles ;0))

With a bass player's health of paramount importance, I thought you might like to read this study: http://theweek.com/speedreads/index/264585/speedreads-study-smelling-farts-is-good-for-your-health As you can appreciate, being in close proximity to a drummer could now be a wise move...
