2. Allo, allo, allo...
3. Wednesday morning at 9 am and the rain begins... BuMp
4. Up once more and then time for bed...
5. I recently purchased a Genz Benz Shuttle 3. It has a great sound for such a small combo, it's light, easy to carry around, pack into the back of your car and has all the sound variations you could want from an excellent EQ. Unfortunately, the original combo developed a slight fault, which was quickly put right but, having only just purchased the combo, the distributors very kindly sent me out a brand new replacement rather than have me wait for the repair to the original combo. The only reason I'm putting this brand new unused combo up for sale is that I use Markbass as my main rig. When it comes to smaller gigs I started to use the original combo, which although loud enough and having all the EQ necessary, I found that I was changing the settings on my basses, altering my FX rack just to get the right sounds from the Genz. Then on larger gigs having to do all the alterations prior to the gig. So, I'm considering changing my rig and just using Markbass stuff. That means someone will get a spanking new Genz combo with a full two year guarantee, still packed in its original box, manuals etc for a stunning low price. Here's what Genz Benz say about the Shuttle: "Our most popular product - this combo defies belief, deep low end, tight mids and clear highs. Perfect for electric bass and ideal for upright and acoustic bass (the parametric mid-range is great for reducing feedback). Add another 8Ω cab for a full range 300W rig, we can also supply a custom made gig bag with shoulder strap for easy transport. Serious bass rigs have never been this portable! You can plug your ipod/cd player into the amplifier and play along through the cabinet or use headphones for silent rehearsal." The combo was bought from the Bass Gallery in October 2010 for £795. Shop around and you can get it for £700. I'm asking £515 plus postage or collection. Bargain ...
6. Up to the top of the pile.
7. Price reduced to £945. This is an awful lot of bass for the money. It plays like a dream with one on the slimmest necks I've ever come across (38mm). I really would love this to go to a good home as it deserves to be out there - seen and heard by all ;o)) Don't forget, I might consider a trade but also may consider a very near offer.
8. SlEePy SuNday morning boomp ...
9. Vic bought my Shuker Fretless 6. A great guy to do business with. Prompt payment and helpful. Very highly recommended. Buy/trade with absolute confidence.
10. BuMp for possible trades too ;o)
11. I acquired this bass recently purely because Pete Skjold makes fantastic basses and this is one of his finest. However, although I knew it was a 35" scale, I was seduced by its blue beauty. Unfortunately, I am not quite comfortable with the scale and as my arms aren't going to grow any more it may be time to pass this lovely bass onto someone who can caress her comfortably ;o) It's a 2005 model built by Pete Skjold for a major company at a guitar show in the US. It's an ash body with a flame maple top and a beautiful blue tint. The neck is a bolt-on, 24 fret, maple with purpleheart stringers and a rosewood fingerboard, 38mm at top nut. The pick-ups are a Skjold design and, combined with the top of the range pre amp, provide a very wide range of tones. The slimline neck is simply gorgeous to play, the notes simply ring with great sustain. The bass has been really well looked after at was up for sale at the Bass Gallery for £1400. The only sign of wear is on the neck pick-up under the 'E' string, where a visible mark on the pup can be seen at close range. Other than that there isn't a mark of any note, no dings, dents or scratches. The fingerboard has a beautiful grain and shows no sign of wear at all. When I acquired the bass I had it professionally set-up, cleaned, electronics checked, and new strings. Given the initial cost of the bass, shipping and set-up, I'm asking £895 , which I think is a bargain! It comes with a decent gig bag (no hard case). I might be persuaded to consider a trade - you never know!
12.
Hello, very nice. How much does it weigh? Cheers Arpi
The bass is approximately 9lbs. That's comparing it to my other basses for which I know the precise weight (I haven't any scales to check for the exact weight).
13. I'm getting giddy going up and down and up again - anyway, last bump for now. I'm not dropping the price anymore, it is what it is and a lot of bass for not a lot of money.
14. Bargain price of £775 (which is what the bass owes me). It's well worth this kind of money - if I needed another 6 string I'd be keeping this one as it plays like a dream and has a great range of tones. Loads of tone for your buck!
15. Whoops, I was on page three and I'm not that type of bass! However, if you're interested do take a peek ;o))
16. The sun has got his hat on... But I'm stuck inside working - oh hum. Need to move this on so hit me with offers or trades.
17. Any interest at all?
18. Good Morning, rise and shine. Now might also consider trades.
19. Two hours are up! Back to £825.
20. Two hour price drop then back up to original price.
21. I'm not exactly certain of the precise date as Jon never puts a serial number on his basses. However, the approximate year of production is late 2007.
22. Decided to do a special price until Monday - it's now £825. That's got to be a good deal for a bespoke bass!
23. Hey ho and up she rises...! Tempt me with an offer?
24. BuMp cos I seem to have fallen off the bottom of the page ;o)))
