"this beauty is from the period when Warwick used slightly lighter woods (and better quality too)." certainly is!!! my 1990 NT 5 string is the dogs - if I had the readies , I'd be nestling this baby between my 1990 fiver and my1988 4 string. gorgeous!
Thanks, MikeBass. It really is a beaut! The body wood is one of the most unusual I've seen on a Thumb. The pattern changes depending on the light and from which position the bass is in! A really tactile bass - I'm almost convincing myself not to part with it, hmmm?

Here's my Warwick Thumb NT 4 that is happily snuggled in its Warwick gig bag out of the cold! It hasn't been gigged for a while and I'm wondering whether it might find a new home - not 100% certain I want to let it go but it just isn't getting used. Here's the spec from Warwick: Bass: Thumb NT 4 string Bass Serial Number: E-2301-90 Year: 1990 Month: May Number: 2301 Neck Wood: 4 pcs. Wenge Wood with Bubinga Stripes Fingerboard: Wenge Wood Frets: Bronze Warwick Frets Nut: Just a Nut I Brass Version (originally) Neck construction: NeckThrough Construction Body: 2 pcs. Bubinga solid wood/ Surface: Oil Finish Pickups: JJ MEC Pickups Active Electronic: MEC 2-Band electronics Hardware: Warwick Black Hardware The bass it's been thoroughly set-up, new strings etc and lovingly waxed (the bass guys, the bass...). The main pic is by the original store owner and the second body pic is the bass now after a few loving touches ;o) These basses cost £2500 new, but this beauty is from the period when Warwick used slightly lighter woods (and better quality too). It's all original, sounds fantastic but you knew that already ;o) A very reluctant sale but needs must (no, I haven't got GAS, just bills to pay (( Price-wise I'm looking for £1095
Interested in buying this, any actual pics of the bass??
The pic above is the actual pic of the bass as used by the shop I bought the NS WAV from. A review of the Wav can be found here: http://www.harmonycentral.com/products/46917 Hope that helps. Regards

I'm reluctantly selling my EUB. The bass is just a few months old and is in first-class condition. The WAV features NS Design's proprietary PolarTM piezo pickup system. The WAV 4 is in a transparent Amberburst and includes a foldable tripod stand and a padded gig bag that will hold the bass, the stand, and also has a pocket for a bow (bow included). The instruments has two transducers beneath the adjustable bridge, and a switch to toggle between them for bowing (arco) and plucking (pizzicato). This is a true electric upright bass, not a fretless bass guitar that you play vertically. The fingerboard is curved, so it can be bowed. While there is a truss rod, there is relief in the fingerboard for typical upright bass style play. It's a great, well made bass that's hardly been used, which is obvious from the excellent condition. I'd rather not post as it would be a pain to find an envelope to fit! I'm looking for £600 or make me a serious offer.

It must be my morning mug of caffeine but I've gone all Santa and decided to reduce the EUB to a firm £595 (no offers now). It's a bargain for someone! * Now also considering a trade for a 5/6 string bass of similar value. *
Where are you based? Depending on some cash coming in over the next or so, I might well be tempted by this... Cheers Mark
Hi Mark I'm based near Coventry. I could also be tempted by part cash part trade depending on the bass!

Here's my Dingwall ABZ Natural, which I'm looking to sell - or possibly trade. The bass is less than two months old, bought from Bass Direct and comes with the Dingwall gig bag, spare set of strings, tools and documentation. The basic spec is: •Dingwall made in Canada FD3-A pickups •Dingwall passive controls, volume, pickup selector, tone control •Dingwall USA strings •Two piece swamp ash body •Maple Fingerboard •Banjo frets •NOVAX® FANNED-FRET SYSTEM™ •Maple neck •Select hardware •Dingwall Gig Bag •Manufactured in Canada The pics are of the actual bass and the only 'Ding' is in the name ;O) Trade-wise, I could be tempted by an Overwater (4 or 5 string) or a Roscoe.
