  1. Up for sale is my excellent 450W TKS 1126 cab. Just an outstanding little cab loaded with Ceramic 12” 6” speakers and HF. Great sounding full range cab that cuts through with the 6” midrange. I’ve used this at rehearsals and a few pub gigs and it’s handled everything perfectly. Although it’s only 15Kg I’m moving over to the Markbass Energy cabs which are ridiculously lightweight as I’ll be struggling to carry anything around for a long while yet due to my recent injury. Good overall condition. There’s a few little nicks to the vinyl covering here and there and marks to the front grill but nothing nasty. All in all a top notch, powerful and tidy little cab. Collection obviously preferred from Merseyside where it can be viewed and tested but I should be able to ship if you so wish to organise.
  2. Compared to the Grabber these are great value for money and I’ve read some great reviews too. If I didn’t already have 4 Thunderbird basses I’d be onto one of these.
  3. Bargain. I’d love this but couldn’t be for sale at a worse time for me unfortunately.
  4. I’ve had a couple of enquiries about shipping the cab. If I had suitable packaging and a strong enough box I would but unfortunately I don’t. So it’s collection only I’m sorry to say. This is a superb cab in every way and well worth a drive out to the jewel of Merseyside to collect. 😉
  5. I took your advice and put a set on my Precision. I like them. Brighter than I expected which is not an issue at all but I guess they’ll lose a bit over time? I’ll be taking the bass to the next rehearsal and see how it all sounds in the mix.
  6. If it has to be a combo I’d be looking at a MarkBass one. I was very impressed with my 1x12 I had a couple of years ago. I later bought a 1x12 extension cab and it was plenty for any venue we played. Compact and light weight was a big bonus too.
  7. I’m guessing you’ve played the HB and got used to it and now the Ibanez feels ‘wrong’. I started playing Thunderbirds and they took some time to get to grips with. Picking up a Jazz bass some time later was crazy, it felt so awkward to play! Lesson for me was not to spend too much time with one bass and switch back to one of my others after a day or so. I’m currently using a Precision bass but next rehearsal will be a TBird.
  8. Scraping in at 50 years old.
  9. I’m afraid not. I’m pretty much housebound for the foreseeable, probably won’t be able to drive for weeks yet. Nightmare!
  10. Do Gear 4 Music do them? I’m sure I’ve seen suitable cases for short scale Gibsons when I’ve been looking for cases to suit a long scale one. Thomann perhaps?

Bought a little TC Electronics amp from Lewis. Super transaction with fast comms, super fast dispatch and war proof packaging. So deal with confidence! Top BassChatter. Thanks. 👍🏻
  12. Joel has just called by to collect my little MarkBass combo. Thoroughly nice chap and great guy to deal with. But I now have Stingray GAS 🤦‍♂️ Cheers! 👍🏻
  13. Absolutely awesome! What a great bunch of people ❤️
  14. Stunner! I almost bought one here years ago but I was let down by the seller, decided to sell it to somebody else instead. I’ve owned a number of Stage 1s, LX’s Jazzmans which have all been great and a few Thumbs too. But never one of these and the prices now make them well out of reach for me. Enjoy the bass!
  15. Bought a Barefaced Super Compact from Tony. Only a few miles away so local collection. Fast replies to messages and overall an easy and hassle free transaction. Cheers! 👍🏻
  16. For sale is my lovely 2x12 TKS s212. Easily one of the best cabs I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned many. I’m reluctantly selling due to nasty accident at work which has left my foot badly broken which will need further surgery. I’m going to be hopping around for a long time yet so my poor wife is now my roadie. So I have treated her to a lightweight, smaller Barefaced cab which is easier for her to carry up and down the stairs. I’m such a thoughtful chap! It’s not exactly a heavyweight weighing in at 21kg and I found it easy to carry around before my misfortune. Sound is ‘BIG’ and clear. I never found the need for a tweeter which was a concern at first. The few gigs I’ve done with it were typical pub gigs where it was a bit overkill and one outside gig where I managed to crank things up a bit and It performed excellently. Specs are: Impedance: 4 Ω Power handling (high average power test signal): 500 W RMS Recommended amplifier power: 100-600W RMS @ 4 Ω Sensitivity[average]: 102 dB SPL @ 1 W/1 m Sensitivity[100Hz]: 100 dB SPL @ 1 W/1 m Sensitivity[max]: 105 dB SPL @ 2,3 kHz, 1 W/1 m Frequency response (-10db): 42 Hz - 4,8 kHz Displacement: 516 cm³ Measurements (WxHxD): 52x76x40 cm Weight: 21 kg Cab and cover both in excellent condition. I never thought I’d be selling this but the new cab has to be paid for. Not after any trades thanks and, for now, collection only from Merseyside. I’m asking for a very reasonable £420 (firm) which is a bit less than what I paid as its collection only.
  17. I really wish I had the cash to ‘look after’ this for you. They’re such great basses and I’m so sorry you have to part with it but it couldn’t be for a better cause. I too hope it finds a home here soon.
  18. Adagio flatwounds 45-100. New and unopened. £15 uk posted
  19. These are great basses, I love mine. Wish I had the cash as I’d like a second one with flatwounds. I find these much lighter and brighter than my other Tbirds and thus gets gigged more. Sorry you have to sell your gear. It’s rotten I know as I’ve been there myself and I hope you get sorted soon.
  20. I’m a little suspicious. If I was the buyer of something DOA I’d return it for a refund. Secondly, I’m surprised that the panel being referred to (if it’s what I’m thinking of) would be damaged in transit. Was the amp loose in the box?
  21. $$ Streamer is a cracker too! Always fancied one of them.
