  1. Will sell for £840 without the case and a nice gig bag thrown in.
  2. For sale is my G&L USA Fullerton Standard Jazz Bass in Emerald Blue Metallic. Back up for sale at £850 (firm). In absolutely mint condition, bought new a year ago with East J-Retro fitted. Original control plate included as is the G&G Fender case. I bought this bass new last December as I fancied a jazz bass and love G&L basses. When I saw this one in the Emerald Blue I just had to get it. It's only really had home use and a couple of band practices and lived in its case. Although its no lightweight (10 Lbs) I decided to keep it where other heavier basses were being sold as I liked it so much, but, the opportunity to buy back an old much loved Precision of mine meant that something had to go so with a heavy heart it's time to say goodbye. The build quality and finish of the US G&L's is IMO superb. This bass has that 'something' whereas the Fender J's I've owned have left me a little 'meh'. A couple of months ago I fitted the J-Retro 01 (£200) as the new bands material required a more versatile bass and a good decision it was too. Collection from Merseyside, can meet up/deliver if not too far or shipped (UK) with UPS for £30.
  3. And replied. And on hold. I've had a flurry of PM's in the last 10 minutes so apologies for delays in replies. @maxmckee Sorry mate, you were just pipped to the post.
  4. Some (maybe earlier ones) had EMG's. The plastic knobs are included.
  5. Reluctant sale of a cracking bass that I've not had for very long. The opportunity came up to buy back an old and much loved Precision and I just couldn't refuse. So to fund it I have to sell 🙁 This is a Czech made Spector Rebop MM. TonePump(with trim pot) pre - Bass/Treble & Vol and Aguilar pup. 7 lbs 9oz so says the kitchen scales. I genuinely really like this bass. Lightweight, comfortable, sounds great and fast action. When I got it I raised the strings to accommodate my heavy handedness so the current action will go much lower. The neck is slimmer to the Euro LX I once owned and it's very pleasing on the eye. Quilted maple and matte blue stain. I've been using it at rehearsals where it cuts through lovely and has been a joy to play. The bass is in as new condition, I couldn't find a mark on it and comes with the Spector gig bag. The knobs have been changed to the ones pictured and the original ones will be included. Sale only as I really now do need the funds. £620 Can post for £30 with UPS (UK only) once I get a suitable box. Collection welcome or I can meet/deliver if not too far.
  6. I was just looking for it and couldn't find it. Bugger 🙁
  7. Nick bought my Embassy bass. No fussin' and no messin', a top basschatter to deal with in every way. Cheers! 😎
  8. Just stunning, absolutely beautiful! I’m so lucky to own one of these.
  9. Be strong Stew, be strong! Resist the GAS. Unlike me...
  10. I can fully understand why you'd want this back! That is stunning.
  11. Agggh! Only bought a new set on Friday 🙄 Bargain.
  12. Personally, yes but I'm sure someone mentioned that the smaller size of the headstock might make them look a bit out of place. But I might be mistaken... Photoshop anyone?
  13. For the first time in a few months I gave 'Shrek' (my Wanderlust Green) Embassy a play today and really enjoyed it. I've been so tied up in learning my new bands set which really requires a more fast/modern active bass that poor old Shrek has been idling in its gig bag. I forgot just how light weight it is and TBH how much I missed the old school tone with flats fitted. I was thinking about parting with it as I can't stand having basses sitting idle and not being used but I really enjoyed playing some Beatles and Kinks etc. I'll be on the look out for some replacement tuners as the stock ones are crap and keeping it just for revisiting some old 60's favourites.
  14. I wish I was. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234178393405?hash=item36861eb53d:g:3JEAAOSwe7lhONM5
  15. Sold my Precision bass to Mike. Really great guy to deal with who collected and sorted out a bank transfer on collection which helped me out no end. Cheers Mike.
  16. Thanks Mick and hope you're doing ok 🙂
  17. It'll be 42mm at the nut. 60mm at the 12th and 65mm at the 20th. Around 26mm depth at the 12th.
  18. Due to new band and musical direction I no longer need my Precision and hate seeing it gather dust. Now as you can see from the pictures it's not exactly mint but it is the coolest looking Precision I've owned. If you like battered old Fenders you'll probably like this. The off white colour is more yellow now and the dark tort scratch plate (Fender 60's) IMO looks great against it. I replaced the 70's style tuners with the reverse winding 60's type. I think they came off a MiM 60's Jazz, they look so much better to me. I did however snap the head off one of the screws on the D tuner, it hasn't made the slightest bit of difference and is rock solid. The pickups have been replaced with Fender American Vintage and KiOgon loom and pots fitted. A previous owner for some reason has hacked the pickup cavity out to, I guess, accommodate a different pickup. The new pickups still sit fine and adjust with no problems. the weight is 9Lbs. The bass sounds great with the Labella Flatwounds fitted and was my goto bass for the time I owned it. The price reflects the condition and the 'modification' to the pickup cavity plus I've spent quite a bit on it what with the pups, loom, tuners and scratch plate but it was all very much worth it. I believe it's a fair price for a cracking bass. I'll be sorry to see it go as it is my ideal Precision and 'my' bass but I'll never use it and the cash will come in useful for other projects. There is no case for it so its for collection/meet only. I'll throw in a gig bag if required.
  19. Another great deal with Brian who just bought my Yamaha Jazz bass. No fuss and arranged his own courier. Always a pleasure!
