Top chap! Bought my Stingray, came to collect, no fuss, no messing.

Love it, my kind of amp. Although the remote looks a bit complicated!
I really would buy this if I could justify it in any way. Well, you dont have a Warwick! Tell us .... how "precisiony" is the neck pickup soloed ?
They're quite 'woody', not too bad really. I would always use the 'P' pup when playing with a pick.

Due to not really playing much anymore I'm putting my Streamer up for grabs. I bought this bass here last year from Phsycoandy. Pictures here: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1833555 It really is a players bass. fast, slim, comfortable wenge neck which is as good as any old Streamer I've owned. Like the original sales ad describes its no oil painting so the price reflects this. ON HOLD Would prefer collection, could ship in a hard case at buyers cost. Can meet up if its not too far. PM me and I'm sure something can be sorted out. Cheers, Paul

I think we must be pretty lucky in our band. Our drummer is good. Reliable, really reliable. Keen to learn new stuff, easy going and runs his own studio and practice rooms. Must say though that over the years before our Steve we've had a right headache with 'em.
well for how cheap the cab is compared to the vanderkley I wouldn't worry to much. Taken the 410 in this week, only had a little play and it has the best midrange of any 410 I've tried and heard. My only worry is the height of it, being a tall lad on small stages I always struggle to hear backline that is short.
They are good 'eh? I've always preferred using two cabs as I struggle to hear myself clearly when you're practically standing on top of your amp!

I've been lucky enough to play one of these - would love another chance!

Of any single cab I've owned (and I've had lots) the most impressed I've been is with the EA CLX112. Relatively light weight, LOUD and deep but not woolly. Great stand alone cab but to use two of them you did need an amp that went down to 2Ohms. The Genx Neox 2x12 is a super cab, very light, and loud! Out off all the cabs I've owned they're the ones that do it for me.

Serious (and I do mean serious) problems with musicman neck...
bigthumb replied to NURZE's topic in Bass Guitars
My current Stingray (early 90s I think) is the 7th I've owned and without issue as were the rest, apart from the '79 pictured. On the whole the quality has been superb. I really hope the OP gets something sorted. It would be pretty bad form (and publicity) for EB to ignore. -
A simple case of the bridge being in the wrong place again.
Indeed! -

I had one with a similar problem, the G string being VERY close to the edge of the fingerboard thus constantly slipping off! Right pain in the rear end. Hope you get it sorted. -
The winter before last was a ridiculously cold one, and I was busking outside regularly with a carved bass. I didn't have a thermometer, but it was a good few degrees below zero most of the time as there was much ice underfoot. I had no problems at all with the bass, but it's really hard to keep your hands working. The left hand is the worst as it's raised up most of the time and doesn't get much blood circulation. I was wearing two pair of socks, army boots, longjohns, several jumpers, a big coat, scarf, hat and fingerless gloves but still couldn't keep my hands warm enough! I was careful about slowing down the changes between warm and cold by leaving the bass in its bag for a while as suggested above. In an ideal world I'd have a second bass for this sort of playing, but I don't have the space to keep one.
I just got Raynaud's reading that!

Two very different sounding basses. Out of the two I'd say the Warwick would cut through better with them mids than a standard Stingray 4. Both of mine being great basses but chalk 'n cheese!
