1.
I haven't forgoten mate. Like I said, with my track record for turning stuff over, I could never hand on heart say anything is for ever, but I do like this bass an awful lot, so I live in hope. How are you getting on with the Shuker/ACG basses you went to check out?
I came home with the Shuker in the end but if the ACG was a 4 string it would have been a very tough decision. Seriously I hope the bass is a keeper and I'm delighted you're getting on with it.
2.
Don't ask me if it's a keeper, many of you know me by now, and know that I can't answer that, but I'm very happy with it.
Remember what I said......
3. BUMPO! :brow:
4.
Drop...dead....gorgeous.
+1
5. Is the scratch plate original and how many bolts hold the neck on? sorry I know I shouldn't!
6. Great to see you Russ. Cheers and enjoy the Precision!
7. At this rate I'll have no basses left! Anyway I've decided to put the Corvette up for grabs. Its a 1996 bubinga/wenge model with passive MEC pups. The neck is very slim, lots slimmer than the Thumb I used to have and the frets are great. The bubinga is lovely with only a little play ware around the pups. There is a bit of rash on the back along with some small indentations but nothing horrendous and it doesnt look half as bad as it dose on the photo. I only have a soft case so no posting. I can meet any buyer within reasonable distance. There is a strap with the strap locks fitted. Dont miss out on this one, its a good'un! Paul
8.
£600?? you sure? Id love another Modulus. I would have bit your hand off 2 weeks ago when I knew I had job security but now im saving for just incase. Shame, its beautiful!!!!! Good luck with the sale, I dont think you'll need it at that price.
Thanks and all the best
9.
the first two digits of the serial number should give you the year. I'm betting its 89-93?
Spot on! Its a 1990.
10. I'm reluctantly putting my fretless up for grabs. I love playing the bass but because 1. I'm useless on a fretless and 2. It'll never get used in the band it seem stupid to keep it for the occasional home noodling. Its in great shape and has one of the most unusual finishes I've seen, photos dont capture just how lovely it is. Its a blueburst on quilted maple with an ebony board. EMG PJ 18v pups and recently strung with Status half wounds. It sounds superb even in my clumsy hands! I dont have a hard case for shipping so its collection or meet up's (within reasonable distance). Any questions just ask. I'm not looking for any trades thanks. Cheers Paul
11.
And Paul, as you probably know, is a real nice bloke.
Its a lie people, don't believe him!
12. I hate low actions. When I have to I take my basses to a techie for any work thats needed and he always sets them up. To be fair he dose a wonderful job but he sets it up to how HE likes basses. (Very fast). So on return home I undo all his good work!
13. For sale is my '78 Precision. Overall great condition for its age with just a little 'mojo' but not over the top. S8 serial number and not the heaviest one I've played but its no real light weight. Its a good solid bass with no issues and plays and sounds like a good P should. I find myself using my '73 Precision now as I've got to like its more mellow tone and realistically I cannot afford to have two old Precisions. Now I've run out of hard cases so I wouldn't want to post it but I'm happy to deliver or meet up within reasonable distance. Any questions just ask! Cheers - Paul
14.
Ahhh....you'd love the low B, and I'd love the '78 .
Dear God that's tempting....
15.
.......I might even go old school with a nice old Precision.........
If it had 4 strings I might take you up on it! Stunning basses.
16. My old SVT 4 Pro was the same. Needed warming up! Great amp all the same. Bump For a £400 bargain!!

Will had my SQ Squier off me. Paid in a flash! Many thanks.
18. The Gallery have one (fretted) that I've got GAS for. Their asking £1200, you'll probably get it for less and it'll have a warranty. The new prices are crazy and the depreciation is frightening.
19. Bump with new price. £250 + shipping
20. Oh God why did I look at this thread!
21.
Great Bass Paul. I thought youd shift them all. At that price youll get many Gear-slut salivary glands going. Best of luck with the sale and Paul is a dude to do business with.
Cheers! Anyhow - BUMP! With UK delivery covered.
22.
They are... 2000 watts... mutter, mutter....
Flippin eck!
23. I was going to post this last week but Bassassin was selling his beauty so now his has sold - here goes. Its the same sort of thing really although mines probably had a bit more use going by the dings and dongs on the body. Saying that its still in great overall condition. I've had this bass for around 6 months (from local guitar shop) and Its been gigged a fair bit, it certainly holds its own against the US ones I have but you don't need me to go on about the quality of these old Japanese Fenders. As for issues. The scratchplate is not the original (white) one. Also a previous owner has seen fit to engrave their name on the neck plate. So in light of this I'm asking for £250 + shipping I'm not really up for trades as I could do with the cash. I do have a hard case to ship the bass or, within a reasonable distance meet up. And no paypal thanks! Cheers, Paul
