  1. I went to Leeds to pick up my latest bass from John Douglas. I now have 3 of his guitars, 2 shorties and this latest. The latest guitar came about when I snagged a V Bass system along with an awful Aria P/J. Spoke to John and well.... The Blue Nugget was hatched.

  2. I have swapped out and added a few new pedals. Mocked up the board (ran out of room). Hope to finish it this week
  3. Purchased the MXR Phaser, arrived quickly and well packed. Easy to arrage deal. Recommended. Would buy from again
  4. Bought the ZVEX Fuzz Factory from Platypus. Excellent comms, easy to deal. Well packed and as described. Recommended
  5. All three switchers (and pedals) are hand use only. Only pedals operated with feet are the Aeros looper, Beat Buddy and Maestro.
  6. I have a laminated Method Statement.... We all know the risks.... but to save the innocent I will put barbed wire round the whole board.
  7. The Fuzz Face is good however the Big Muff is much better. There are plenty of other fuzzes I would put ahead of the Fuzz Face, it is all or nothing. Very fuzzy/distorted with the bass on full volume but doesn't clean up without losing all usable volume. Save your money and get the Big Muff.
  8. Had a very busy weekend. Power sorted but I cut 2 cables to short, c'est la vie. Unfortunately it means stripping the top deck to fit the longer power cables. Other than that all the individual loops are sorted.
  9. Finished the board. Happy with the layout, a few minor tweaks will need to be made. Will have to use a mixture of EBS flat and George L's patch cables. Power will be a mix of Strymon and GigRig.
  10. Yes it on a riser, I use risers quite often. On this board the tuner, ventillator, mistress, reverb and delay are on different risers
  11. A few dramas and crisis halted the board now back on track. Mocked the board up in chipboard to see what and how the pedals go where. The board is actually larger than the initial plan. Hopefully the board will be finished in the next week or so
  12. REDUCED NOW - £75 Had a clearout and found all the Aclam Pedalboard bits. Everything except the piece crossed out in orange is included in this sale. Obviously the pedals, stand and wooded surrounds in the last two pictures are NOT included. The Smart Track can be used with velcro or with the clamps (included). Included are lots of clamps, adustable feet, rubber feet, adustable riser parts, universal PSU support. Some of the Smart Track has been cut and some have been drilled. The drilled pieces are all perfectly serviceable, the holes are purely cosmetic. Enough bits to make two or three boards. Collection would be preferred. Trade welcomed. Anything considered. Make an offer.
  13. PM'd re Big Muff
  14. Bump...... Interested in a trade - Drop me a line. Bass, lead guitar, pedals, amp (maybe!!) Cash either way. Dig out your old guitars and pedals....
  15. I would recommend a multi pedal. I had a bass specific one which had fuzz, overdrive, distortion, phaser, chorus and delay. All the effects were great and no worry with power or connectivety
  16. £1200 Or Near Offer - Trades welcomed Tradewise anything along these lines: 4 String Bass - Fender, Gibson, Anything not too pointy or posh wood Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar Fender Telecaster - Stratocaster - Mustang The list is endless - What have you. Vintage pedals - Lovetone - Colorsound - What have you Fuzz Phrase Ltd Retrovibe Rattler Tube Dreamer Ripple Harmonious Monk Mk II Blue Sky (Strymon) Delay Llama Mk III There are 4 send returns to allow use of a switcher (Fuzz, Rattler, Monk and Delay) Both units have A/B inputs and outputs. More pictures or any questions drop me a line
  17. Yep inches!!! I did say it was big. The dimensions are for the actual pedal space not the actual overall length (adds a couple of inches to the length of the board)
  18. The latest board I am putting together is going to be huge - I mean huge. The drive section alone has 4 large enclosure pedals The board will be home to: Peterson Tuner Love Bomb - R2R GE Fuzzface - R2R Supa Mkll Fuzz - EHX Russian Big Muff A/DA Flanger - EXH Russian Small Stone - Neo Ventilator ll - Haz Labs Mutron lll+ Shin-Ei Vibe2 - T-Rex Binson Echorec - Boss DM101 Delay Machine - Game Changer Light Pedal Reverb This lot is powered either via mains or Gigrig Gen14. Taking care of loops is a Earthquaker Swiss Things and Gigrig Loopy2. There will also be a smaller board containing Beat Buddy, Midi Maestro and Aeros Loop Studio. All Stereo. A walnut tree be sacrificed for the greater good.
  19. Bought a couple of pedals from Ped - Big Muff & Mutron III+. Each was well packed and shipped quickly. As described and excellent comms as well. Would certainly buy from again and have no hesitation in recommending. Cheers Ped!!
  20. I've updated my main board and going down the "less is more" route..... Well I was, but I saw some shiny things with lights
  21. I have tried Aclam smart boards. Good idea but does use space on the board with clamps. Dual Lock tape works best for me. I read recently that Hot Glue Guns can be ideal, easy to apply easy to remove. I'm not convinced but hey ho it may be the way forward
