1. SOLD a full Pete Cornish Custom Effects Board built for Porl Thompson of The Cure. The board was used extensively by Porl with The Cure, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page in their world tours. The board was built in the mid to late nineties and is built to Pete's usual extremely high standard. The board is complete with both purpose built Flight Case which measures 63" x 33" x 26" May fit in a large estate car and a soft canvas type gig bag. There are over 40 Pete Cornish Cables including Power, Patch, Guitar, Speakon, Send/Return plus adaptors. The cost of the cables alone is in excess of £1500. Distortion, Fuzz, Overdrive, Delay, Flanger, Chorus, Voodoo Vibe and Mesa V Twin plus others and all the distribution needed to play any venue. To get this built now you would get very little change from £18,000. Any queries please contact me. For sale around the £6500 mark or trade for W.H.Y - Pass details onto any guitarists you know. 2. Have contacted a few and they don't seem to be interested. Any suggestions
3. I recently purchased a 1961 Fender Stratocaster Hard Tail. The case with the guitar is not the original to the guitar but a Mid Sixties Fender Logo type. The case has seen better days -

Lid lining detached and possibly shrunk
Leather ends are split
Interior worn and stained
Smells like a locked up mad woman.
Ideally I would like to get the case repaired prior to selling or trade against a genuine 1961 Fender case (Not Selmer) Anyone know where I can get this remedial work carried out. Cheers

11. Hi, I had the same problem. I removed the washer - which was easy peasy. There was no alteration to the tone whatsoever. If I got another stack knob I wouldn't hesitate in removing the washer.
12. Sent you a PM Mick.
13. Can't believe you are selling these.... A fantastic pair of basses and soooooo easy to play. Whoever gets the Fretlless will be over the moon easily better than any Wal, Status etc..... Have a bump on me. How much do you want for the Ampeg??????
14. Weekend price drop and revised trade bump.
15. Traded - Gone Cheers Chris
16. Thanks Martin, looks very interesting. Cheers
17. Theses are a fantastic pair of basses right up there with best. They almost play themselves, I would quite happily sell a few of the wives organs to get them.
18. Traded with Chris for 57 RI Strat. Pending......
19. Hi to all, I joined Basschat quite some ago and never got round to introducing myself. Well it is now time to put that right.. I first picked up a bass in the late 70s and was soon playing in a school/college band. I can remember my first bass was a red Vox short scale thing that eventually gave up the ghost and my Dad bought me an Eros Jazz Copy which I painted black with electric blue stripe (I think we all did something like that). This bass was lent to friend whilst I was in Germany who then sold the bass and my very much missed Selmer 50 Treble & Bass. Needless to say he is not a friend any longer. Fast forward 30 years I got a Precision Deluxe from a mate and I started playing again (albeit very badly) I also bought a Telecaster so I could annoy the neighbours on all levels. Went through a phase of intense buying and now have some really nice guitars both bass and lead plus more pedals than is really healthy. What I really need now is talent. Well that's me fast approaching 48, then 49 and then does it go higher...? And if anyone is interested why Bouvier well its nothing to do with the Simpsons or The Kennedies it was Lennox my Bouvier Des Flanders he looked like a Rottweiller with Dreadlocks or Tina Turner on a bad hair day. 20. Last Bump for revised trades list.
21. Cheers Mick you are right the bass does indeed look far better in the flesh. PMs answered and Trades list amended.
