Thats a LOT of bass for the money. If I didnt have my CV and VJ Jazzes i'd be all over this.
cheers absolut, I did originally have it up here for closer to 700 but I realise that was a little high. maybe this is a little low, but id prefer someone playin it than it gathering dust on the case while im inking people! lol
Crikey, 1332 views and no sale? If you don't mind me saying so, I do think the poor quality pics are killing your sale, can you take some better, sharper and clearer pics of it? I might be interested then.
yeah man, no probs. I dont understand why the pics have turned out the way they have, Im using a Sony Ericsson HD camera phone. Might just be the light in my room and whatnot.

hi peeps. Bought these beauties bout 10months ago shortly before my band fell apart. anyway, im training to become a tattoo artist, so theres no point in them sitting gathering dust if im never going to get to use them. both in brand new condition, never been out the house since i bought them (in fact, the head is still in its box, only out once to make sure it was in working order and quick mess around on the bass). The head wont come with the silver cover case (sold it to a friend), but it seems very very sturdy by itself and that was put on it more for effect than anything else. so yeah, im looking for 300 for both of them as a pair, and will deliver (or let you pick them up) anywhere in or around Glasgow. some pics attached and all questions welcome, also attached the Warwick site address for the cab details and better pic of the cab than my crap phone allows. Hey peeps, exactly as it says on the tin. US Fender Jazz bass, black with white scratchplate, maple neck, all original parts This bass (although built in 2006/2007 judging by the serial number), was bought new from Sound Control in Glasgow in January of 2009. It was used twice in the studio before I bought a Warwick Streamer Stage II on sale shortly afterward and it hasnt been used since. heres the specs for it - Neck: Graphite Reinforced Maple, Modern 'C' Shape, (Satin Polyurethane Finish) Fingerboard: Maple p/n (019-3462), 9.5 in. Radius (241mm) No. of Frets: 20 Medium Jumbo Frets Pickups: 2 American Jazz Bass Single-Coil Pickups (Mid & Bridge) Controls: Volume 1. (with S-1 Switch) (Neck Pickup) Volume 2. (Bridge Pickup) Master Tone Pickup Switching: 2-Position Push/Push S-1 Switch: S-1 Switch Up: Pickups in Parallel S-1 Switch Down: Pickups in Series Bridge: American (Strings-Thru-Body) Machine Heads: Cast / Open-Back Hardware: Chrome Scale Length: 34 in. (864 mm) Width at Nut: 1.50 in. (38mm) Unique Features: S-1 Switching Posiflex Graphite Neck Support Rods Rounded Body Shape Rolled Fingerboard Edges Strings: Super Bass 8250M NPS, p/n 073-8250-006, Gauges: .045, .065, .085, .110TW (Taperwound E) Accessories: Standard Molded Case Case: Standard Molded Case The case is supplied, and I will even drop it off anywhere close to Glasgow for anyone interested in buying. (Or have it delivered anywhere else) Price is a solid 550GBP, no trades. Any questions welcome from interested parties. Thanks *Should also add that the reason for the sale is that I wont have time to play as im training to become a tattoo artist. I just cant justify it sitting around when someone else could and should be playing it, and you can see from the pics, its basically unused and perfect condition.

US Fender Jazz (Maple Neck+S-1 switch) for sale
Dude, no offence, but if you're trying to sell something, being a total douche isn't going to help. I was actually VERY interested in this and I'm glad I read the posts before making a decision because your overly defensive attitude actually makes me doubt that you bought this new. Why would you get so snappy if you didn't have something to hide? The other poster was just trying to work out when you bought the bass because your description and "details" are very vague. Your bad attitude towards another BC member who was simply trying to find out important information on behalf of anyone who might be interested has totally turned me away from showing any interest in this and my money will be staying safely with me.
This bass was bought new from Sound Control in Glasgow, in January of 2009. -
US Fender Jazz (Maple Neck+S-1 switch) for sale
MarkusWarwick replied to MarkusWarwick's topic in Basses For Sale
actually my attitude came from the idea of someone asking a lot of questions while having no interest in purchasing the bass. Im quite happy to answer any questions that people may have if theyr interested in purchasing, and Im usually very easy to deal with, however, I just felt my time was being wasted. Apologies if i've been taken the wrong way. Anyway, hope to hear from anyone that may be interested, and apologise for any offence caused previously. Cheers guys -
The serial number suggests it is a 2006 model, so it was 3 years old when you bought it?
no dude, as it says on the Fender site, some numbers carry on from year to year. I bought it from Sound Control in Glasgow 2009. Its in perfect condition and only been played a couple o times in the studio. -

Warwick 2003 Limited Edition Thumb BO - SOLD
MarkusWarwick replied to Floyd Pepper's topic in Basses For Sale
Hey man, Im just about to sell my US Fender Jazz, so if I can get rid of it pretty quick for around 750-800 then i'll be making an offer on this definetly! Keep me posted on status Cheers Markus
Hi, I got hold of this as a bit of an experiment but I've decided that there are more suitable basses for me out there and it's too nice toi just sit there. It's a Warwick 2003 Limited Edition Thumb BO otherwise known as the 'Bleached Blonde'. It's in excellent condition and comes with a Warwick Deluxe soft gigbag and the original customer pack (incl. tools, manual -but no beeswax). I can only see a couple of very minor marks on it. It really is a beautiful looking bass with custom neck inlays and it is a light bass. The complete spec can be found here; Warwick 2003 Ltd ED Thumb BO Price is £700 + delivery or I'm located near J13 M25 for those that are local.
ok, right, i here ya! tell me more about 'switchability' - what options do you get - I see they're 'split coil soap bars'. But essentially, as I read it, this is a Korean built, US finished bass. Seems they ask top $$ for it.
Being honest man, you couldnt ask for more for the cash. 3 band EQ, bass/mid/treble, push-pull switch, perfect balance, great sound. It done me well for the few times it was in the studio, but I dont need it. I'd rather see someone pay 600 than 800 for it and know that its gettin used. Theres a lot o stuff about it on the Lakland site, plus if you google reviews on it, you'll see people aint left disappointed. cheers -
that is such a good price for this strung tho' body gtr.. If only I could sell my granny I'd be there man. But right now I'm on an economy drive. dont you just love posts like this 'i love your gtr, but I cant afford it' what a waste of time,.. so go on, tempt me - I had a G&L L2500 USA which I bitterly regret getting rid off - how would you say this compares? the G&L had 2 $$buckers, active passive switching, single/double pole selection, plus 3 (if not four) way pre-amp. C'mon, give me the hard sell!
to be honest mate, if you're lookin at a Lakland, you know exactly what you're getting. Superb tone, sustain, response, everything about it is top notch. Only reason I'm gettin rid of it, is that I have no use for a 5 string. Amazing bass though. G+L are good, but for sheer tone and playability they just dont compare (*I say that having tried one while shopping for this). Its a different level, honestly. As I say though, You know what you're looking at when you seen this ad. A Lakland is made to the highest standard. It feels, looks and plays the way it should.......and a little more........................But then, its upto you.......................... -
