Continuing to say the same thing over and over again expecting a different response is a sign of something, I can't remember what. The fact is, that bass was put up for sale in good faith by the seller. Yes, he was wrong about the bass, but had no intention of deceiving anyone. You can't use that as an example of mis-selling. Please find me an example of a fake Fender deliberately put up for sale on this site to be sold as a genuine Fender and bought by someone who thought it was a genuine Fender.

How many times? That was a misunderstanding that was quickly sorted out. If you're using that as the one and only example of a fake Fender deliberately being put up for sale (which it wasn't) in ten years of trouble-free trading on BC, then you're looking a bit desperate.

But that's exactly whats been happening! There is NO evidence that anyone has listed a bass for sale with the intention of selling a fake! No need to change anything. It was all ticking along nicely until someone decided to make a mountain out of a molehill.

No, that's crazy talk. What if someone's selling a Sandberg, or a Lakland, or a Sadowsky? As far as I know, there have never been any issues regarding fakes with those brands, not at any time, and not anywhere.

No-one is selling fake Fenders. To do that would imply deliberate intent and we've already established that there has been none. The issue seems to be whether it's possible to buy a non-Fender bass with a Fender decal on it on BassChat and somwhow think its a Fender, even when it's been made perfectly clear that it's NOT a Fender. Not sure what the problem is frankly, I'd never sell a fake Fender on Basschat. That's what eBay and Gumtree are for.
