1. I put a bass up for sale here once at 10:14 in the morning and it had gone by 10:27. The buyer collected shortly after as by coincidence he lived around half a mile away.
  2.
Yes, I'm definitely going to take it (& a few other bits & pieces )
Very good. Now to find out when it is, where it is and whether I can get a pass from the current mrs discreet.
  3.
I'm going to take mine to the south east bass bash in a couple of weeks just because I'm so impressed by it - come along and give it a try if you get a chance
I wasn't going to attend, but I may well do so if you're definitely taking the Electra..? I could bring my SA450/Two10 rig...
  4. Great, now I have Jazz GAS and Sandberg GAS...
  5. That looks like it may be a good Jazz alternative...
  6.
I got Guy Pratt - probably because after just three questions I got annoyed with the quiz and left it.
Hee hee. I got Geezer, too - what's going on there, then?
  7. DR Lo-Riders are a bit more 'tense' as far as I remember. The steel, not the nickel.
  8.
The sarcophagus "guards" either side are in fact CD cabinets and don`t accompany me to the gigs.
That's a shame - very 'Spinal Tap'. Great-looking rig though, Lozz.
  9.
..."must have a suit, dark glasses and be called Mr Smith".
Yes, yes and yes.
  10.
Have a good 'n and if in doubt just play D
Thanks! I played D and two or three other notes, too! It was a blast actually. Great voice, great band.
  11.
"D'ya wanna be in Thailand Thailand Thailand."

I can't for the life of me see the point in having more than one.
Can you imagine the logistics, apart from anything else? TWO loads of drum cases cluttering up the stage and put on top of your rig without permission, TWO people to go and find when it's time to go on stage - probably from TWO different pubs! And I bet NEITHER of them will have their own transport!

Sold Rich a P Bass. Super-fast payment, excellent comms and was even very tolerant of my faffing about with the delivery, followed by bloody PorcelFarce faffing about with the delivery too, which didn't help. Thanks, Rich. Great guy, recommended.
  13. I don't think many people do Glitter Band covers any more.
  14. Sister Cookie - Tonight @ 20:30 in Hackney Doing a gig tonight with Sister Cookie, supporting Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys. Details as below. Come and see me crash and burn! We're on around 8.30pm. I've only had one rehearsal for this!
  15. It's him/her again!! Thank God! Just what this site needs, more Korean transvestism!
  16.
But don't you dare price it higher than the price police deem acceptable - you'll catch hell for your decadent capitalist ways
Yes, it has to be 'mate's rates' only, for some reason... even though the majority of those interested wont actually be a mate. And for God's sake, don't make a profit - this will be seen as 'greed' and frowned upon. If you can sell it to someone with a highly developed moral sense, so much the better. Try and find out before selling. Above all, you want the buyer to think you're a really nice guy.
  17. It's a thankless task trying to describe sound, or the constituents of sound, in words... particularly if one man's heft is another man's punch and quite possibly a third man's cheese omelette. With ketchup.
  18.
Then below that you get the pillowy low end cuddle of a 40hz boost!
Crikey. I always thought anything around 40Hz and below was like being rogered with God's mighty gut-jumbler.
  19. I dunno, I'd put 'heft' at around 120Hz which is where the 'power' of a bass guitar lies, but 'punch' I'd place a bit higher up in the mids somewhere. Of course I have no idea what I'm talking about, as usual.
