1.
Retro 800 in the amps for sale today...😜
Yes I saw that. Extremely tempting.
 2.
Covers bands play music that the people in the band hate but the punters love. Originals bands play music that the people in the band love but the punters hate.
3.
Was more in the market for a second hand one, so that was up to the original buyer.
Well it appears to be stuck on, at least on the cloth grille version, so presumably can be unstuck. Whether it can be done cleanly, I dont know.
 4.
Can the logo on the cloth be removed?
I'm sure it can, but probably best to spec it without one in the first place.
 5.
I have 2 2x10s. I only take the second one to gigs.
Yes, I'm finding that my 2X10 covers pretty much everything. It go loud when necessary and doesn't miss a beat. Sounds great.
 6. That all sounds mega Tel, though I'm not surprised. If you remember, when I built my first J12 I was stunned and ranted on telling anyone who'd listen how good it was. Of course one has to experience it oneself to understand what one is dealing with here, like anything else. Best cabs I've used live were my two J12s. However at 18kg each they weren't all that convenient and the dimensions made them a little unwieldy in the car. However... that's all changed now... PM sent.
 7. Presumably you could connect the tone-shaper or Pre-amp of your choice into the Return socket, thus using it as a pre-power set up. If you wanted.
 8. I thought a metronome was a city-dwelling dwarf with a pointy hat.
 9.
Yep, been using the Retroglide 800 for a few weeks now, it's essence of a TE GP11 in a smaller format. Like the GP 11, to me it has no sound, as such... you get your sound with the graphic.
Really? That's very interesting. I see Thomann are doing them for £417... hmm...
 10.
Dammit, I just sold my donkey and moved over to lightweight Shetland ponies with neodymium horseshoes. Can I still use those?
Yes, but remember that two ponies = one donkey.
 11.
I decided that was a bit gay so I didn't.
'Gay' presumably meaning 'bad' or 'sub-standard' and not the archaic and outmoded usage meaning 'homosexual'..?
 12.
Ok guys. As decided by plebiscite… thou shalt not use drum tracks of any kind!
What about nudity, donkeys and hemp..?
 13.
I know it's going to be tempting to tell me that it's the past-tense of stink. Don't, it's too obvious.

I knew it existed, but as the past tense of the verb "stink".
The ironic nature of your post has been lost in the telling.
 14.
Evidently the ironic nature of my post was lost in the telling
Yes it was, I'm having a very straightforward and logical day today. Don't worry, it'll pass.
 15.
And there's me thinking it is the past tense of 'stink'.

I know it's going to be tempting to tell me that it's the past-tense of stink. Don't, it's too obvious.
16. I think you need to use Trace if you want 'that' Trace sound. Just as you need to use an Ampeg SVT for 'that' SVT sound. You can generally get close-ish by other means, but it's never quite the same and always a compromise in some way compared with 'the real thing'. All in my opinion, of course.
 17. My first thought is that you don't want to be hauling a 410 to small venues and unplugged sessions. Is that going to be an issue? My second thought is you would get very good performance from a single-speaker cab at low volume levels. The phrase 'sledgehammer to crack a nut' springs to mind.

 19.
A solid chunkiness that you can almost smell.
Have we met?
 20.
Sounds like young master Discreet needs a sharp clip round the ear,,,
Yeah, but he's bigger than me.
 21.
Best cabs going, shame they weigh so much.
Aye, there's the rub. I'd use an Ampeg 8x10 at all times if it weren't for the obvious disadvantages.
 22.
I know it's going to be tempting to tell me that it's the past-tense of stink. Don't, it's too obvious.
I think it means gross, disgusting or creepy. However, young master discreet (14) often greets me with 'what up, stank' first thing in the morning, when I'm not quite ready for it.
 23.
hahaha that's what makes the world go round
24. If you don't know them and it's a professional function gig then it's got to be a contract for sure. When I was in a pro function band it was all contracts, PAT certificates, public liability insurance and so on and so forth. Normal wedding insurance (if they have any) won't cover public liability. It's a form of business insurance. Luckily I didn't have to deal with any of it, my personal arrangement with the band was cash from the band leader directly after the gig.
