1.
Man I am so tempted to try and get one of these, just in case I have any rehearsals in anyone's loft again... My Supercompact was well, too big for it! Amazingly.
Bloody hell - you don't play with The Borrowers, do you?
 2.
It'd be great if it cut to the end and he'd made a bobbin.
YOU'RE a bobbin! *Runs away*
 3.
I see, thank you. I think I may have one of those MiniMax's in my future!
I've gigged mine and it's a good amp. A typical Peavey workhorse (if it turns out to be reliable), in that it's fairly unremarkable but has some useful features and gets the job done. And of course it's very competitively priced in the 500W/4ohms Class-D category.
 4.
What are these Cajon's? Are they like Chicken Cajon's?
Yes, I got mine from Nando's.
 5.
Is the MB200 almost twice as long (front to back) as the MiniMax? With all these tiny heads & cabs it's hard to judge the perspective nowadays!
No, it's slightly smaller. The back of the MB200 is flush with the back of the One10 in the first pic, and the MiniMax has its front feet hung over the front of the One10 in the second pic. I will include a 10p piece in future pics - for scale.
 6. Another price drop bump! Surely these are worth £20 for the two??
 7. First there was VERTICAL POSITION Speakon Porn... But now there's HORIZONTAL POSITION Speakon Porn!! Yes, I have a 'thing' about excess speaker cable. I don't know why. Thanks to obbm for his valuable assistance.
 8.
I'm on an ol' fashioned 4x12 kick right now!
Nice! Have you got ol' fashioned lumbago, too?
 9.
I've tried a number of good 12's but in my loud rock band the only single 12 to keep up volume wise was a Barefaced Big Baby 2.

Ive got a couple of Barefaced Big Baby 2's and frequently use just one in a loud rock covers band
The question really should be 'Anyone gig with just a 1X12 - and if so, what brand is it?'
 10. Remind me to avoid that wood-turning holiday in Romania.
 11.
Blue, you might want to actually WATCH the video first ...
Could be extreme irony..? Nah, you're right.
 12.
Is it something to do with lower back pain? I dunno…
Lumbago. It's a principality on the continent of Rapala.
 13.
Silver paint ...
Tin foil..?
 14.
...because they don't consider the overall sound, everyone seems to try to push volume higher to be heard.
Aye, there's the rub. The volume 'arms race' is a sure sign of amateurs. I include myself in their number, but we are always quick to turn the racket down if it's getting out of hand and no-one can hear themselves. Though the arms race does seem more likely to happen in a rock band.
 15.
How any of us'd ever agree about anything more abstract, such as 'heft' is beyond me.
Yes, just what is 'heft', anyway??
 16.
I'm quite heavy-handed baboon, and my bass playing is quite prominent in the bands i play with...
So you're too loud, then?
 17. Bloody hell, that's a total bargain! Looks great, too. Definite shades of JE.
 18. I got some pearl ones from the Bay, but I can't find it now... hang on. I think it was these, the aged white pearl ones. They're good, but took a couple of weeks to arrive, unsurprisingly. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Dots-Fret-Markers-1-4-6-35-mm-Inlay-Sticker-Decals-20pcs-6-colors-Japan-/151764421727?var=450962058600&hash=item2355dd4c5f:m:mvv5uH_PLAwqKECkpTpU2ig
 19.
They're very nice set-lists...
And you have to play bass, too - obviously that's the most important instrument, right? I'm sure it all balances out in the end...
 20.
All I'm saying is that if he likes them, they must be ace.
And that's the bottom line. Another high-profile bass player has chosen Barefaced cabs out of all possible brands. Well done to Barefaced and congratulations to Alex, who put his money where his mouth is, persisted with what he thought was right and has succeeded. He is totally vindicated as far as I'm concerned. I've never personally understood the vehemence levelled at Barefaced on this forum and remain astonished at the lengths some people will go to to belittle and criticise a product that, in some cases, they have never heard, used, gigged with or even seen with their own eyes. But it doesn't matter now. Those who like Barefaced cabs will continue to buy, use and endorse them regardless of the increasingly desperate forum nonsense from self-proclaimed 'experts', of which this thread is just the latest manifestation. I know when I'm onto a good thing - and so do an ever-increasing number of people who are beginning to understand. I'm done now, and so are the critics. That is all.
 21.
Who is liking them so much?
Ha, ha!!
Ditto with marketing blurb.
Barefaced are one of the very few cab manufacturers to publish full specifications of their products.
 22.
I love this.
Me too. Another trick for the lead scrounger is to hide one of your leads in his gig bag, then accuse him of stealing it.
 23.
...ask why people are liking the One10 so much, when previously 1x10" bass cabs have been rarely usable for bass without accepting massively compromised tone. It's a shame when opinion masquerades as fact.
I love my One10, me. The phat tone is certainly coming from the direction of that little box. I'm not technically-minded, but I suspect it's got something to do with the unique design of the driver and/or the box itself... sounds great, though. In my opinion, of course.
 24.
Where's that popcorn smiley when you need it?
25.
Not at all - in fact, again, I couldn't care less if he did or didn't do that - my comment was and still is, completely tongue in cheek.
So was mine.
And conversely... Lots of name artists use Fender basses - but there is a trend on here that if you buy a jazz bass, you do your best not to buy a Fender and go for one of the many boutique clones. From what I can tell, a 2x10, 4x10 and a 8x10 has been swapped out for a 2x10, 4x10 and a 8x10. I don't quite see the big revelation.
Once again, the big revelation is inside the 2X10, 4X10 and 8X10. I'm not going through it again, all the info is on the website. Edit: You have been to the Barefaced site to read the spec on these cabs, haven't you? They are not 'standard' cabs in any way apart from their appearance.
