1.
That looks nothing like an owl!
2. It's remarkably difficult to share your obvious enthusiasm without any pics...
 3.
The 10lb T-40 is definitely a lightweight, the other 2 are 12lb +. But mind they balance well. Wide strap and a back harness you'd be good to go
Yes, good to go to the osteopath.
 4.
My friend has agreed to lend me the MM for my next gig.
Sounds like a logical move.
 5.
That`s me rumbled then
Punk bands not included... also, it's not my opinion - it's said in 'certain circles'.
 6.
Do people really genuinely believe that the Fender logo is so much more aesthetically appealing than the Squier logo? I gig both a fender and a Squier (or I used to, I am pretty well all ibanez and G&L these days), and I would say aesthetically the logos are very similar. I know several people that have changed the S logo for an F as they wanted it to look like a 'proper' fender, but the idea it actually looks better seems odd.
If I played a Squier I doubt I'd replace the logo with an F-decal. In fact, the Squier logo can be more desirable in certain circles where you're only considered a 'proper' gigging bass player if you play a Squier bass through a Peavey combo, or some other workhorse rig. Genuine Fenders and expensive lightweight gear are seen as a bit gauche and probably means you're a weekend warrior. Edit: Wasn't there a picture of Trotsky on here just now? Or did the Politburo airbrush it out??
 7. Wow! I've hankered after a white T40 for some time, only the rumour of heaviness put me off. It is true?
 8. I had the alder/rosewood version - very nice bass - enjoy!
 9.
For some reason this makes me very happy. It's also a really nice logo.
I'm very glad you think so.
 10.
It arrived apparently the tracking system had issues. Unfortunately I had already sent parcelforce a few sharp emails lol. Ah well.
PARCELFORCE 'DO THE RIGHT THING' SHOCK!
 11. You can say 'bastards', but you're not allowed to say 'f***' or 'w***' for some reason.
 12.
...something has went wrong and I want to claim back some of the money since it won't be there till Tuesday.
Good luck with that. PorcelFarce make it so difficult to claim and you have to jump through so many hoops that in the end it's simply not worth claiming. You'd almost think they made the system hard to use on purpose. My joke 'BassChat Courier' service is actually looking more and more viable.
 13.
...on time!
'On time' may mean in a week or even a month. Hell, we may even not turn up at all and still expect you to pay a premium price for our services. When you complain we'll tell you to feck off and die, what do you think we are? It's hard enough finding morons who'll drive around in heavy traffic all day and do 200 deliveries before they go home for minimum wage, they're not going to be conscientious as well, are they? Would you be? Tell you what, if you stay in 24/7 for the next six months and give us double payment I MIGHT be able to sort something out. Thanks for choosing Interparcel.
 14. Very good, let's hope they pick it up!
 15.
Now anything less than that standard is difficult for me to cope with long term. It's not just playing levels either, its the attention to details and approach to rehearsals. I am meticulous and I hear everything in a song, which means I notice when others have missed something.
I'm just the same and have been accused of wanting the moon on a stick. Fair comment, there can be a stage at which you either need to compromise or just give up playing. But I've found a group of people who are passionate, pro-level players, reliable, sober, punctual and on the same page when it comes to gigs and rehearsals. Really not easy to find. My compromise is this: The genre we play is not one that I would normally be interested in or listen to - but the positives far outweigh the negatives and I'm enjoying myself. So there you go.
 16.
Stupid amounts of power, stage positioning, strings, bass setup, how you play your bass... I don't think I could do with the extra stress of gigging one.
I don't think anyone is suggesting that ownership is compulsory. Other brands of cab are available, apparently.
 17.
I nearly responded to this but have decided that I've much better things to do, like well erm, anything really.
Yes, I've got housework to do before the bank holiday. And I'm going to need a dump before too long.
 18.
Not sure why it annoys people on here so much to be honest. Why does it matter to you? Does it negatively effect your life? Do all the other fake and knock off items in the world equally bother you? If you want a bass that says something on the headstock go for it. No difference to me
Quite. I wonder how many people who are over-reacting to this issue are also worried about peak oil, population pressure, resource depletion, pollution and climate change? How dare people have the effrontery to apparently get something for nothing when we're all going to hell in handbag! I've owned basses with applied F Decals and I've owned genuine Fender basses too. FMIC certainly haven't lost out as far as my investment in genuine Fender instruments is concerned. Right, can't hang around here all day - got to get down to Oxford Street to buy a fake watch, some fake trainers, a knock-off handbag and some iffy perfume before The Rapture kicks in. Byeee!
 19.
I do believe that the copy basses create a desire to own the real thing, I think Fender know that and that is why they are not so protective of their trademarks (and I guess the sheer amount of clones out there would make any effort at protection rather futile now).
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... I also think that if Fender had more interesting options available for their P and J flagship basses and didn't charge an arm and a leg for a Custom Shop instrument, fewer people would feel the need to order what they want from those who are happy to put together basses to order at a reasonable price.
 20. I don't want jewellery! I want a bass!
