1.
Hernia?! 13kg?! What are men made of nowadays! Tsk, tsk, tsk...
Yes, hence the ' '... It was only a few short years ago that 18, 20 and even 24kg was considered lightweight for a single cab. Anything more than that (albeit possibly great-sounding) now seems as archaic as an iron-clad battleship. Of course whether you have to transport your own gear and how old and/or unhealthy you are has a bearing on this.
 2. I probably would have bought a Two10 in the first place but as soon as I had the funds for a One10 I went for it, being impatient on one hand and intrigued on the other. Plus, two One10s would make for a very versatile modular system. No point giving yourself a hernia carrying 13kg when you can carry 7kg - if that's all that's needed.
 3.
Mr Discreet, you are a man with way too much time on your hands...
Rubbish, I know the dimensions of all popular bass amps off by heart!
 4.
Yes that's two strings, but one string is a bit pointless.
Not if you're in Status Quo. Seriously though, I think it would be a very good exercise. It would certainly focus the mind, stop you from automatically playing what you usually play from muscle memory and make you think hard about note choice and placement. Nothing to stop you from being very groovy either, that is if you're very groovy anyway...
 5.
Be interested to hear back once you've used it with drums...
You may have to wait a while... my current band uses a kick drum and percussion, but not a full kit, so no shed-building rock-type shenanigans. Which is one of the great advantages of the band in my humble opinion (!) and is the main reason we can generally get a very clear sound in any room... But this guy has used it with drums...
I have a GK MB800 head and two of these One10 cabs. They are ridiculous! I play upright bass, and one cab is more than sufficient even with a drummer. I have played an outdoor gig to 1500 - 2000 people, no sweat. There is so much bottom end I run my bass knob at 9 or 10 o'clock. I find no need for a tilt-back. Even if I'm standing over the cab, it disperses so well that I can hear myself easily. I purchased the second cab more for pushing air to get a huge room-filling sound, rather than needing it for volume. The only cab I have ever played through that matches the Barefaced for upright bass is a Greenboy 12/6 which weighed 17kg, but at 7 kg each, my damaged back is loving the One10s.
6.
...handle might get in the way but I expect that would fall off after a few days anyway...
Hee, hee. The build quality is not bad. You can specify a mod to have the handle on the side with the feet, thus leaving a nice flat area on the other side for your amp... quite a few on TB have done this, and one or two of this parish also, I believe.
 7.
I've just looked up the dimensions and I'd have half an inch overhang either side with my Glockenklang...
Is that with them stacked vertically? The One10 is 11.5" wide vertically and 15" wide horizontally. You won't have any dispersion issues if you stack them either way, it's still two 10" cabs on top of each other. Or you could think outside the box and see it as an excuse to buy another amp.
... looking at your photo anything much more than MB200 would overhang?
The MB200 is 7.5" wide and a vertical One10 is 11.5" wide, so 2" space either side. There are loads amps that would 'fit', including anything from the G-K MB range (200, 500, 800 + 500 and 800 Fusions), both Aguilar Tone Hammers, Mesa D800, Peavey MiniMax, any of the MarkBass Little Mark series (and others)... Demeter Bass 400, Minnie 800D... and on and on. If you place the One10 horizontally (say, on a stand) you get another 3.5" and this opens the possible range of amps you could use without overhang quite considerably. Ampeg PF500, FP800, Ashdown MAG 420, RM800... Demeter VTBP-M-800D! And so on.
 8.
I don't want my bass to be all mids and not a lot else, which was my previous experience of the older cabs.
You need have no worries on that score. The One10 is completely unlike any other small box with a 10" driver in it. I'm using a P with flats admittedly, but I'm getting a lovely warm tone with my amp set flat. The 'baked-in' tone of the One10 is very sweet indeed. I'm still grinning.
 9.
...for some gigs they're embarrassingly small.
Size isn't everything... I suppose if you're in a loud metal band with attitude it would be an issue, but in my current band it's way down the list of possible embarrassments.
 10.
Not according to the conversation I had with Alex when I collected mine...
Wait, you've got one of these, haven't you? Have you gigged it yet?
 11. I use RB45s as my main roundwound. I used RS66 Swing Bass for decades, but latterly found the quality to be not great. I switched to RB45s and in my opinion they are like RS66 used to be. The fact that they're cheaper is a bonus, you can change them more often if new zingy rounds is your thing.
 12.
Sounds and looks like a great setup. GAS has firedup!
Yes... the problem is, it sounds good and all, but it's just so cute!
Sounds awesome. Just what I didn't need.
Don't lose hope yet Martin, it might be totally crap at an actual gig...
 13. Having played my Barefaced One10/G-K MB200 rig for quite a few hours now, my initial observations are are follows:

It produces more bottom end (and dare I say it, 'heft') than you would think possible from a normal 10" driver. Which it isn't, of course. Nice work on the design front. I was expecting this, but it's still a surprise.
As I tend to play louder at home than I do gigging with my current band, the rig is clearly going to be more than loud enough to gig with. But to be fair, I'm in a relatively quiet band which is not a rock band and there is no shed-building drummer.
You'd expect the cab to run out of steam pretty quickly, but it doesn't and gives a very reassuring impression of solidity and mass - but it weighs 7kg. It's going to be a Godsend on the haulage front. I already have a padded cajon bag into which the rig fits snugly. Total weight including bag: 9kg.
If I played with a louder band I'd probably want to either upgrade to a 300W @ 8ohms amp (which the One10 could easily handle) OR buy another One10 and get full 4ohm beans from my MB200. If I joined a rock band with a mad drummer I'd do both to be on the safe side. But I doubt I'd need more. And two cabs stacked vertically are still only 2'6" tall, 1' wide and weigh only 14kg. Stacked horizontally they are 2' tall and 1'3" wide.
Two of these cabs with a loud amp would definitely see you right in 99% percent of live situations. A really big venue or a festival would have sound reinforcement, thus you would use the rig for stage monitoring, but two cabs and a decent amp would be more than enough for any size pub or club gig - in my humble opinion!
It sounds really great. No boom or honk, nice solid bottom end, very smooth through the mids and more air in the top than you'd warrant from a tweeterless driver. It's PHAT, basically. Even though I've seen it and heard it, I still don't believe it.
I have a gig on Sunday, a rehearsal the following Wednesday and another gig the Saturday after that. So when that's done I should be in a position to write a full and proper review, post some detailed pics and come to some sort of conclusion - but I'm already impressed and very much looking forward to turning up at venues with my bass in one hand and my rig in the other. Fun!
 14.
When is the Adam Clayton sig model out?
YROWWWLLL!
 15.
So I'm off to the BIG smoke this Friday on a rare day off from the daily grind of work. I have planned it well with some birthday money still burning a hole in my pocket I plan on visiting a few of the bass shops to see if anything jumps out! So my question is this who should I visit apart from Mr Baxter as I have booked an appointment with him as I have always wanted to go to his shop.
If you have an appointment with Mr Baxter you won't be able to afford to go anywhere else.
 16. Oh yes, nothing wrong with two cabs. Boy Scouts: Be Prepared. Because when you do need that second cab you won't be able to get one at short notice...
 17. Nice work! Before reading your post I was going to say you'd probably only ever need one cab, but you beat me to it.
 18.
Why not get Alex to make you a "custom special" cab with a chicken-wire front to match the knobs?
What a poultry comment. I think it would look fowl...
 19.
I fancy a ONE10 with one of the new Peavey MiniMax amps.
I was looking at those too. Quite apart from any other consideration I think the white chicken-head knobs would go very well with the cloth grille!
 20.
So how many watts do you get out of that with just the one Barefaced One10 cab?
The One10 is rated at 8ohms at which G-K claim 140W for the MB200. So if the rig initially turns out to be underpowered it won't be the One10 at fault. Barefaced claim that it can handle a continuous 250W all day long - with clean tones.
 21.
How GK does the GK sound through it? if that makes any sense
It does make sense. G-K are justly famed for their modern rock tones and the MB200 will produce them - but using a P Bass with La Bella flats gives a very nice warm tone with the amp set flat. Particularly through the One10, which seems to be capable of reproducing a lot more low-end than one would think possible. But more on this later.
 22.
It's just possible that a pair of these would be the ultimate, flexible, portable cab solution.
First impressions lead me to believe that one of these would be the ultimate, flexible, portable cab solution, but we'll see!
See, I would never have thought to hang the GK feet over the front of the cab. Discreet, please name the cab stand you are using .
That's a temporary solution... I have a more permanent Velcro solution in the offing. The stand is a Stagg 14707 and can be got at a good price from Amazon: https://www.amazon.c...r/dp/B000YL952E It's small enough for a One10 but I've also had a Fender Rumble 500 on it with no problems.
 23. NCD - Barefaced One10 REVIEW added at 12:50, May 9th 2016 It's here! A few pics to be going on with - I will of course be posting a full review after I've rehearsed and gigged with it, so probably about a week or so. But perhaps I'll post a few preliminary thoughts later on though, eh..?
