1. Shaved chimps in lard on ice in 3D - on the moon! Any TV execs reading this can have that idea gratis. You're welcome. It could also be marketed as an Oasis tribute act.
 2.
Yep, simply take it on the chin.
One in the eye for the competition.
 3.
Mean huh?
It looks mean, yet compact... no bigger than my Schroeder 21012L. Good work.
 4. Can't see the pics - getting a virus warning.
 5. Obviously this is all pretty moot under the circumstances.
 6. Just be thankful your YOB isn't before 1960 so you can't get a Jazz Bass...
 7.
Just as well that I do not go for YOB basses as that is 3 days off my birthday.
The '5' isn't a date number. 5 = code for P Bass. Cleanest 60s P I've seen!
 8.
...when you're a toddler 10 minutes is an eternity...
And also when you're WITH a toddler...
 9.
NOT.......................one of them
YES! ...But just a little one.
 10. How can they have been on the scene 'for a long time' if they're in their 20s-30s? Must be a new, modern meaning of the words 'a long time' that I'm not familiar with.
 11.
...on closer inspection mine has two screws on it like yours and not like Discreet's. Has he picked up a knock off copy?
I removed the logo before taking a pic of it, held it back on with a bit of blu-tack for the pic. Then Photoshopped out the screw holes, just for the look of the thing. Don't worry, it's a genuine rubbish Chinese plastic flimsy logo, all right. Definitely the real thing.
 12.
It's just I've never seen anyone do anything quite so awful looking to disguise some inconspicuous little holes before. Just dim!
Those look like the original screws and washers that would have held the mutes in place. Not saying they are the originals, they just look like them. The whole mute assembly would have been covered by the large bridge ashtray. This arrangement was a pain in the arse and expensive to produce, so Fender scrapped it and reverted to sticking a cheap length of rubber weather-strip under the ashtray instead. The felt mute system had disappeared by 1964.
 13. LEDs don't look right on a Jazz, somehow ...in fact they just plain don't look right on the fretboard. Surely the tasteful among us would rather have them as edge-markers, if at all?
 14.
...looks like I'm heading to Brighton tomorrow. Feels a bit like Christmas Eve.
My Christmas Eve will be in May. Say hello to Santa for me.
 15.
Tecamp Puma 300.
Oo-er. That made something happen in my pants. At the front, this time.
 16.
If you get Gary Mac's Schro because it's not a 410 mile round trip for you, one will be displeased.
Don't worry, Karl. I'm not allowed to mention my new cab on the forum as I will be accused of fanboi-ism.
 17. Don't really understand the attraction of owning a bass that was previously owned by a well-known bass player. It's not as if any of his ability or expertise resides in the instrument and will somehow rub off on the new owner, is it? In fact in my case, every time I picked the bass up to play it I'd be reminded of the fact that the previous owner is more talented and more successful than I'll ever be and obviously didn't want this particular bass anyway because he sold it! 'Enjoy playing your crappy yet expensive Pino cast-off, you talentless fecking loser-nonentity!!' ...Would be the words going through my head. So not for me, thanks.
 18.
I`m actually more surprised that you have kept the amp long enough to buy another badge. You do seem to have been through wads of amps recently.
Um... I do have another rig in the offing actually. But I can't say anything - that would be thread derailment, wouldn't it?
 19.
...is the badge officially licentious?
It's definitely not that.
 20.
I'm calling John Hall
Why..? You haven't asked if it's an officially licensed product, yet.
 21.
If that's the case, you can put me down for one right now.
Me too, but I'll believe it when I pick it up! Having looked at some of the above pics and the transformer therein, I'm reminded of an Ashdown ABM 500 and they are around 12-14kg if I remember rightly.
 22.
Would someone hazard a guess at what 1/4 the weight of an all-tube equivalent actually is?
A proper all-tube is around 35kg, so I'm guessing around 9kg. Which would be very light for a valve amp.
 23.
This is getting ridiculous now, 57!!????
Bit close for comfort, really... That is NOT old.
 24. I'm having trouble believing this.
