1.
...was under the impression that it was on that place where little bearded people lived under a rainbow and guarded their pot while they smoke a pipe ...Amsterdam if i'm not mistaken!
And also Shoreditch.
 2.
Oh! Where's that? Never heard of the place...
Spain.
 3.
Now, back on topic again... what was this one about?
Not sure... something about the art of the Iberian Peninsula, I think.
 4.
Now you're just messing with me, aren't you?
Yes. I'm very rarely serious on this forum - unless it's a Barefaced thread.
 5. I'm a big fan of Picasso actually. Him and Piet Mondrian. I like a bit of neoplasticism of an afternoon.
 6.
Yeah... but they ARE though, aren't they?
Touché! (Did that because it looked like no-one else was going to).
 7.
I am slightly uncomfortable with your implication that one sort of bass is superior to another.
Yeah... but they ARE though, aren't they?
 8.
...Sue Ryder P - remember them? I miss all that arguing about them...
Just start a Barefaced thread - people will be queuing up to disagree with you for reasons not even they are aware of.
 9.
...a large proportion of an audience are not going to be able to tell the difference. They will simply like it, more or less, or not at all.
True, but chances are they will like it better if you're a good player - regardless of their knowledge (or lack of it) regarding all things bass. You don't have to be an artist to appreciate that Picasso was terrible - my four-year-old could do better than that.
 10.
I could get away with using a Jazz and a Precision for my covers band but I prefer to use my TRB and have a far better tone that those two basses put together along with more comfort and playability.
I am slightly uncomfortable with your implication that one sort of bass is superior to another.
 11.
I am slightly uncomfortable with the OP's implication that one style of music is superior to another.
Yeah... but it IS though, isn't it?
 12.
We don't have to use a clock to tell the time, we could just use the sun and our gut feelings, we don't have to use a thermometer or look at weather reports, we could just go outside and see what happens, but there are things which help us with these tasks, so we use them to make life a bit easier to navigate. That's all.
Quite. I don't need to get on the scales to know I have a "muscular frame...'
 13.
it's just a bit of fun isn't it? Like "Would you rather eat a raw badger OR watch your parents have sex? You HAVE to choose one"
Can I have sex with a raw badger and eat my parents instead?
 14. Depends which instruments are playing. If there's an acoustic piano or an oboe or similar it's going to be different. If it's two guitars and bass then little green light it is.
 15.
Thanks for that Mark. I think. Might be an expensive link!
Just for the record I've never played one or even seen one, so I'm not recommending it. But if you do get one I'd like to have a go on it!
 16. I've retracted my vote, I don't see why you can't have both. Why are we having to choose again?
Get out.
17. http://www.warwickba...--Pictures.html http://www.dv247.com/guitars/warwick-rockbass-triumph-lite-4-string-electric-double-bass-black--211041
 18.
...I'd suggest that the majority of electronic tuners would agree about what was 'in tune' with each other better than human beings without perfect pitch (i.e. most of us mere mortals)...
We're doing well if we manage to get everyone in the same room at the same time.
 19.
Now that the wage is higher (£7.20ph), this puts you over the non-taxable limit which means you will now need to pay tax on your income. Which makes your net income less than it was before the new Living Wage was introduced!
Don't want to digress, but won't tax be payable only on income above that limit?
 20. Love it. Love everything about it. There aren't nearly enough triangular basses in the world.
 21.
Hi have you still got the GL you had from me? ☺
No! I wish I had. I severely regret selling that particular bass, it was a real cracker.
 22.
Can any of you get fulfilled just by listening to music, experiencing it? ...just listen and enjoy it's complexity and beauty and realise how great music is. How its just a natural occurring phenomenon that we manipulate and do amazing things with and that fulfils me!
Yes, definitely. And I like the fact you can sometimes just pluck something out of the air and there it is, a brilliant musical idea.
 23. I just don't like the word 'Jabba' so obviously wouldn't buy it even if it were the best bass in the world.
