It's toxic, corrosive and dangerous. It'll strip the paint off your bass, burn your skin and damage your lungs if inhaled. Apart from that you'll be fine.
Brand new roundwound bass strings are very zingy to start with, you'll find they settle down after a while.
And I'm not sure what strings the J&D comes with, but you can probably do better.
Whenever I buy a new (or different) bass the first thing I do is change the strings.

Altered for my amusement haha.

Oh that was you, was it? I thought I was going nuts for a minute.
Nah, it's blue. But it is very pale, I'll admit.
I don't much like 'new' sonic blue, but faded, washed-out sonic blue with aged ashtrays and a mint 3-ply is something to behold.

...probably shouldn't go drilling holes in it to add some, i'd definitely do that wrong

Just send me the bass and I'll do it for you. It'll take about six months or so...
You've got to love faded sonic blue with a parchment or mint guard. How about some more pics when you've got over the excitement? Ashtrays would look spiffy on that, but I see there are no holes drilled for them, so... maybe not!
I'm interested, can I have my old Fender P now, please?
Congratulations Paul, great playing and production work as always - like the humour in it, too. Good luck.

Awesome thanks. Is it advised to keep the brand all the same or would it all work just as well combining gear? I love the Aguilar gear and wouldn't mind having an aguilar cab in my rig.

I would, you'll be sure of a good match. Also my OCD wouldn't allow anything else.
These pre-LX Euro 4s with sold maple wings are amazing. Very similar to the orginal NS sound imho. The Tone Pump is a beast. I had one and regret selling it. This is a bargain.

Is it strictly a volume kinda deal or will it be adding anything to the tone? The reason I considered adding a 15" is because I assume it will bring a heavier bottom end to my tone..

A 15" won't add any bottom end. Driver size has nothing to do with frequency response.
The best choice would be another Markbass 2X10 with the same ohms and maxium watts handling. Another 8 ohm cab will give you 500W @ 4ohms. You're currently getting around 300W @ 8ohms. A bigger diameter driver won't necessarily get you a lower frequency response.
