You get a 3 year warranty, and they pay shipping both ways if you send something back...
Thomann are good. I was reluctant to use a non-UK outfit at first but I have nothing but good things to say about them. Not that this helps the OP any, of course. I'd go with the head office phone call and mention the Sale Of Goods Act.
 2.
Not so much a perfect excuse, but in some cases a complete surprise... NURSE!!!!!
I recommend Lady Tena Pants... Discreet.
 3.
Perfect excuse for having another P...
I believe it can be quite a problem as one gets older...
 4. Oh dear. 'Custom airbrush SCULL.' is that why it looks like a paddle..?
 5.
Raising or tilting a cab is a perfectly sensible way of hearing yourself better. If you raise more than a couple of feet though, you'll lose volume because of a lack of boundary reinforcement from the floor surface reflections (or something )
This from Bill Fitzmaurice and I hope he won't mind that I pinched it from another thread about cab-tilting: "The picture below shows +/- 30 degree dispersion, which is about average in the upper mids from a bass cab. In the upper frame the cab flat on the floor puts the audience within the dispersion pattern, but not the player. In the lower frame with the cab tilted both the audience and player are within the dispersion pattern. The issue with lifting the cab is that if you lift a small cab high enough off the floor to hear the mids at close range you will lose boundary reinforcement in the midbass. That can be beneficial, if the room is boomy, as that will reduce the output in the boom frequencies. But in a dead room you may not want that reduction in the midbass. If you want to be ready for any contingency have the ability to either tilt or lift the cab to suit the room."
 6.
Have the visitors been..?
Yes, the pixies that dance on my window-sill... they give me small gifts... acorns, leaves and - Zzz... Zzzzz... *Dribbles onto cardigan*
 7.
It is a great book though, but I read it to death.
I don't think you can read it too many times - that's the joy of the book and the joy of GAS.
 8.
Hmm... That reminds me ...
Yes, it's time for your elderly men's get-fit hormone pills. I've just had mine. Wibble.
 9.
Don't forget the tablecloth and the lace doilies.
Ha. Might as well have a sofa and standard lamp too, just to make it homely.

I'll see how well it works .
That is exactly the right size for my Schroeder 1212L, to the cm..! May have to check that out, thanks. Do you think it will support 18kg at the 45cm setting, though..?
 11.
Ya wouldnt lerrit lie would ya ?
...no.
 12.
Looking forward to getting my hands on it.
Me too!
 13.
These are essentially built from Allparts necks and bodies, then Peter does all the finishing and electrickery bits and bobs. He's more a compiler of parts than a luthier.
Leo did the same. 'Authentic' Fender-type basses are made from mass-produced parts and assembled on a production line. They are not hand-built from scratch using exotic woods and esoteric high-end electronics. They're very simple! That's the appeal. And anyway, Allparts necks and bodies are second to none.
 14.
...rather than buying a new neck for it, could you ask the chap who is building it to fret it?
That's a much better idea! Then you'd get to keep the spiffy headstock. OK, ask Peter to fret it then send it to my place!
 15. Wow, that's striking. Clever mix of traditional and modern technologies. What does it sound like?
 16. Love it. Love everything about it. Get a fretted Precision neck on it and sell it to me.
 17.
...I did make my choice to do what I want many years ago, I suspect I will be finally allowed to when I AM 50!!
Yes, nobody bothers you then. It's seen as dementia. They just bring you cocoa and ask if you've been to the lavatory.
 18.
Here we are, I quickly took some pics on my phone.
Great shape! Don't usually like SCs at all, but that works well.
 19.
They're so BLUE!
Just what I was thinking! SO BLUE!! I hope they suit you at battle levels.
 20.
Ehh... Is this a trick question?
Yes.
 21.
Snap! My '76 landed a few months ago. My birth year bass and i've just turned the big 40 this month.
Bloody kids! I bought my 76 in, er... 76. P.S. 40 is good. Just don't wait until you're 50 to decide you're going to do whatever you want to do, like I did.
 22.
Justify having more than one ? I'm saying nothing
OK then, how do justify having more than thirty..?
