1.
...anyone remember this?
Certainly do. Black gold!
 2.
If I was in his position I would want to be given the opportunity to sharpen up a bit. I know it's not been a big commitment up to this point but to be dumped just as it might get interesting isn't something I would be happy with.
In that case, Mr Sax really should be told that there will be another sax player at the next session. Or it will at once be obvious to him that it was arranged behind his back and the situation will be awkward to say the least. It's hardly likely to improve his playing, either.
 3. Bought a very nice Aguilar Tonehammer from Lozz, and what a fine little amp it is. Lozz exhibited great tolerance and patience above and beyond the call of duty. I even found out what the '196' is all about... Highly recommended. I would not hesitate for a moment to deal with him again, in fact I look forward to it. Thanks Lozz!
 4.
I seem unable to read the word 'Guiter' in my head in anything other than a Hillbilly drawl. Anyone else have this problem?
No, consarn it. Tarnation! Dag nab it! And so on and so forth, ya big galoot.
 5.
Get it out in the open as soon as possible and just be honest. That's all Most of us ask from each other. A bit of a poor do that nothing has been said...
+1 Should be easy, really - after all, you've only been spending an average of 8.57 minutes a day on this band. It's not as if anyone is making a big commitment or has sacrificed much to do it.
 6.
Get Jon to help you . Me " Hi Jon would you build me a bass ?" Jon "yes sure what type " Me " A black one " over a hundred emails later & it was done
I was speaking generally... I'm sure your bass is great.
 7.
Now I am getting scared.
Oh, come on. Try something entirely different this year.
 8.
Design one yourself & get Jon Shuker to make for you your perfect bass
It's a dream a lot of people have, but having seen the results of many self-designed basses, I can only come to the conclusion that though one may be a great bass player, one is not always necessarily a great bass designer.
 9.
Kenny Loggins in a bikini. Of course.
What's wrong with that? Men with beards in bikinis is perfectly normal. Isn't it..?
 10.
I capitalised on this earlier this year, taking your Sire MM Still going strong, fabulous instrument. If not BC bass of the year, certainly the most hyped.
I believe I did a fair amount of the hyping. Glad you're still enjoying your Sire.
 11. Yes Jazz basses are cool... but every time I buy one, the bloody nut width is too narrow. What's that comment about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result being a sign of insanity..? Wibble. Bwa-ha-ha. Spoon. Herring.
 12.
...perhaps the original faux pas by the creator of this topic is, maybe, now forgotten..?
Nope.
 13.
Piano is the old, tatty upright that we have at home - recorded by placing a single condenser mic on the music stand above the keys, and then extensively EQ'd and mucked about with.
Goes very well with the singing. Almost unhinged, but delightful. Wouldn't have worked half as well with a Steinway concert grand.
 14.
Why are those interested in river fishing referred to as 'anglers' eh..? Why..? Why..?
Because a fish-hook is known as an 'angle'.
 15.
I find it slightly discomforting that you knew of the existence of Ms Loggins And although educated at a 'boys only' school I've never heard of the euphemism 'tie one one' before, either.
I didn't know of her existence, actually - I merely Googled 'Loggins' and 'Bikini', hoping to see a picture of Kenny Loggins in a bikini. The fishing angle is just a bonus, obviously...
 16.
Never any problems with Mrs Japhet, but previous bandmates girlfriends..........jeeez.... don't get me started!
Well yes, I didn't think for a minute that a bass player's partner would behave in such a manner. It's usually the guitarist or singer's girlfriend for some reason. Or if there's a keyboard player, his boyfriend.
 17.
Maybe my nearly-new guiters weren't as nearly-new as the sellers might have intimated. Should there have been brown goop on mine?
The brown goop? That's just, er... authentic... excrement.
 18. A nearly-new guiter. What more do you need to know??
 19.
Do any band members have a wife/girlfriend who; 1) Rings up very 5 minutes to find out what time you'll be home. 2) Will sulk when told the band won't be doing any Taylor Swift covers. 3) Comes to gigs, gets totally bladdered and then runs off crying because she's not the centre of attention. 4) Comes to gigs, doesn't get totally bladdered but thinks she's a backing vocalist in spite of sounding like a 3 a.m. cat fight.
Not having girlfriend trouble by any chance? Been there, done that!
 20.
That was what I was going to do... I think I may have to give up on this thread, because it's obvious my OP didn't do what I wanted it to.
Ah yes, I misunderstood it. You wanted to know how a case is constructed, I thought you wanted to make one yourself. Duh!
 21. Great. Very light relic too, by the look. Enjoy.
 22.
That's not a euphemism, discreet!
Aww!
 23.
I just came up with new innovative ways to approach and play those songs. I now have fun playing all those songs.
That's the trick, isn't it? You can probably apply that kind of innovation to other areas of life, too. It's about getting to a happy place regardless of circumstances while you try to improve those circumstances - if and when necessary. It's a gradual process.
 24. 1. What's it like playing in this band? What's the culture like? 2. Can you describe an average gig or recording session? 3. How do you see the band evolving in future? 4. How soon are you going to make a decision about a new bass player? A bit 'job interview' I suppose, but could yield some useful information.
