1. Ah, I thought they were new. Funny they seem to have remained under the radar for so long. Or maybe it's just lack of observation on my part.
 2. I met him briefly backstage at a Man gig in the 70s... he asked if I wanted his autograph. I politely declined...
 3.
I do find browsing on musical equipment sites to be a very dangerous pastime anyway!
Ha yes, but you no-one's making you buy anything, are they..?
 4.
...trying to flick between pages it started to hang.
You're not looking at one of those bongo sites by mistake, are you..?
 5. An Ampeg V-4B for £909 new! But yes, the website is way too slow for a serious commercial enterprise. Seems like it may be based on a template, so has a load of unnecessary time-heavy code in there. Something like that, anyway. If they get that sorted, they should do well.
 6. I would be having a look at the Wal website.
 7.
You remember the Old Spice adverts or are you thinking of that woman that's married to David Beckham?
Ahh yes, Carmina Burana. What a woman.
 8. Sorry to intrude, but 'Fort of Slunge' is band-name of the day. And the Tech-21 VT Bass is a very, very good pedal indeed.
 9.
Still in my drawer of pants...
Eurgh!
 10.
I thought the Precision was the chopping board of bass?
You must be thinking of the mandolin.
 11.
Thanks, I'll send him/her a PM
Him!
 12. Anyone mentioned SD SPB-1 yet? Traditional and quite punchy enough - IMHO. Of course it depends on what rig you're using, whether you play with a pick, and whether Uranus is in conjunction with Jupiter... just to confuse the issue.
 13.
I wonder if I could make it a hat trick of fleas, that's almost a flock! Or a gaggle, or a herd, or a pack, pride, murder, etc!
The collective noun for fleas is a 'circus'.
 14.
Well, that's me stuck. Every time I look at the pic I get "digadigadigadiga BAMP digadigadiga BAMP BAA BAMP digadigadiga BAMP BAA BARRR"
Yes, thanks for introducing that piece of music into the minds of this month's competitors!
 15.
Congrats Mr. Discreet, excellent work...

Nice work Discreet, congrats!

Well done Discreet (and everyone else).

Yes, brilliant work Mark , superb stuff
Thank you, gentlemen, much appreciated... it was fun. Looking forward to the next one.
 16. I would NOT use that as a bass body OR a chopping board. Looks like you'd get herpes either way.
 17.
If only it was a 5er
It is not, sorry.
Pm'd
And replied. First BC-er to transfer funds will secure the bass. Price is firm.
 18.
August's challenge is now underway. GO HERE It's Grrrrrreat!
Hahaha!! Nicely done!
 19. *SOLD* G&L Tribute M2000 White Up for grabs - and very much priced to sell - is this pristine G&L Tribute M2000 in gloss white with matching headstock. And very nice it is, too. I bought it as I wanted a twin-humbucker active bass in the Fender stylee. It is strung with some form of D'Addario roundwounds and comes complete with a high-quality and very useful branded G&L gig bag. It's possible to get a truly remarkable range of sounds from the twin humbucker/18V 3-band tone circuit combo, but the problem is, I just can't get on with the neck. It's not Ibanez-thin or anything by any means - but I've been playing my 76P Bass quite extensively and am really loving that - and this G&L neck is just a little too narrow for me, which is unfortunate, but presents an opportunity for someone to pick up one of Leo's finest at a very silly price. So if you're interested, get in quick!! It's in almost-pristine condition and everything is as it should be (see pics). I need to move this quickly, so am asking just £295 (via bank transfer only please), and I promise you wont find one of these anywhere else for less than that. Price is firm and I'm not looking for trades. I'd much prefer collection from SE London, but if you really want it packing and posting, the price will be £320. The bass will be very well packed and despatched via ParcelForce express48. I will PM an ETA and tracking information to the buyer. 20.
And the winner is... discreet..!

Well done Mr Discreet! Now where's the next picture?
Thanks for the certificate, Dad! Sorry to hear you're not feeling great, get well soon. Thanks, LS! Picture? Holy crap, I forgot about that. I'll sort it out now... Thanks to everyone who supported the Compo Challenge - it was fun being a guitar hero for two minutes.
 21. Sold Steve my treasured Shergold Marathon. Swift payment, great comms and a very smooth deal. Thanks, Steve!
 22.
...the Beatles are the greatest band ergo Ringo is the greatest drummer.
He was the greatest drummer in the Beatles... oh, wait...
 23.
Luckily most I play with are pretty excellent, and guys I was at uni with.
I didn't mean you personally, I should have said, 'one'.
 24.
If you're being let down by the drummer, then you need to take control, communicate during the performance, and if he's doing something wrong, then lead the rhythm section, don't just follow him.
I'd start looking for another band or another drummer. You both have to be good for it to work. I'm done with drummers who don't get it!
