1.
Blood and custard, my favorite combination.

Are you also partial to Tizer/Vimto & Jam Sandwiches?
I'll go and make some more hedgehog and marmalade swastikas.
 2.
Blimey, don't I sound like a sanctimonious old git?
Yes. Yes, you do.
 3.
Thanks for that I will avoid
It certainly does the trick, but if you drink it in public it makes you look like a homeless.
 4.
...used to drink lots of k cider in the '90s. Is it still going?
Yes. Yes, it is.
 5.
Anyway sorry this is an NGD thread not a thread about Thomanns distribution...
I don't mind at all - in fact I'm notorious for derailment and digression myself, so it's just and proper, really.
ah it seems to have worked for you...
Just remove the 's' from 'https' - Basschat's software doesn't like it, for some reason.
 6. The maple neck is really nice, it has good figuring on the headstock and fretboard and some very nice flaming on the back... which I didn't get round to taking pictures of, d'oh. I toyed with the idea of getting a replacement 'F' neck for it, but that way lies madness. I'm going to leave it. It seems to be unfinished too, which obviously is a cost-cutting exercise, but I like it. That Thomann vid is very interesting... I wonder how many miles a day those small-order pickers walk!
 7. NGD - Harley Benton ST-20 CA Standard *Audio* Blues in E Audio clip of the HB... please be aware that I haven't played guitar for about twenty years, and it shows! ____________________________________________________________________________________ As it's that time of year when the bloody band are away on holiday for what always seems to be about three months, I thought I'd treat myself to a guitar, thinking it would be good for laying down guide tracks and general aimless noodling... and it's always handy to have a six-string lying around the place. Isn't it? I haven't bought new guitar for a long time and after a bit of research (and not wanting to spend a fortune) I ordered this HB Strat copy from Thomann. It's a nice thing, well-made and put together. The neck joint is super-tight! The CAR finish is classy! Obviously some time had been spent with it before it left the factory, as the guitar was pretty much set-up out of the box and was very playable. Of course being an inveterate fiddler (fnarr) I put some new D'Addario nickel wounds on it and lowered the action, putting a tiny smidge of Vaseline on bridge and nut in the process (mainly to stop the wammy-bar from creaking and pinging) and we're off. What can I say? It's a nice thing, sounds good and plays well. I really don't see how they can be sold for £56 though. I have a nasty suspicion that we in the west enjoy products at these prices at the expense of some poor bastard who's not having such a great time of it in the far east. But that's for another thread... anyway, a few pics: I thank you!
 8.
Breakfast hangover cure: Two tins of 'K' Cider chugged in one go, followed by a generous line of Meth.

I had 1 slice of Ryvita with peanut butter, and a glass of coconut & pineapple .
Wow, how weird is that? I must be psychic!!
 9.
I can only conclude that I'm Janek Gwizdala's twin.
Well you've both got a 'Z' in your names, so that proves it.
 10. No worries... drop me a PM anytime if you get stuck.
 11.
...a dose of National Service might enlighten the composer.
Too right! Bring back the birch as well. And hanging (but only for very serious crimes, like bad song-writing). It's the only language these bloody ivory-tower rock stars understand!
 12.
cheers Discreet chuffed to be here mate
You're very welcome... a good way to show pics without using the forum's system is to upload them to PhotoBucket or Flickr or similar, copy the direct link, press the green 'Image' square in the post editor and paste in the link. This way you don't use up any of your attachment allowance.

 14.
Drinking?
15.
youd be better off with 17 big muffs in a row...
It's a lovely thought - but hardly likely in my lifetime, I feel.
...that bloke from Muse had 88 muffs...
That's just being greedy.
 16. They're not what you'd call chunky-ass by any means, but in my opinion you have slightly more wood in your hand (fnarr) than a standard Jazz. Nowhere near the size of a P-Bass neck though. The nut width is very similar to a J. If you're a committed J-man I don't think you'd be disappointed. My review is here.
 17.
Where are the neiges d'antan? I distinctly recall that you had them last. When you were shooting the video for the Christmas single.
Ah now, that wasn't me - I had the sleigh bells and the chorus of rosy-cheeked schoolchildren in bobble-hats.
 18.
Ou sont les neiges d'antan?
Where, indeed?
 19.
BC is a little bit more je ne sais quai without Wayne...
I don't know what that means.
 20.
Basses only play like butter if you are in the US. If you are in the UK basses play like lard.
Mine plays like lard, yet I can't believe it doesn't play like butter.
 21. Listing title says it's 'SOLD' but the BIN option is still open..? I'm just going to slowly walk away backwards and disappear silently into the shrubbery... *does so*
 22. If it were just custard it would be fantastic... hmm...
 23. I think he liked the album more than I did.
