1.
...a nice cab of your own that's small and light enough to take to the gigs and robust enough to handle your needs!
Good idea Alex - do you have any suggestions as to where one could purchase such a cab?
 2.
hmmm... my number one strategy for not killing my cabs is never letting anyone else use them!
Plus about a billion... otherwise just make sure you keep an eye (ear?) on the volume and if funny noises happen, stop!
 3.
Thanx guys Its pink relic though lol
The pink 60s Jazz? Excellent choice.
 4.
You can do everything on a 5 that you can do on a 4, so you don't need the 4's.
I can't, but that's just me I think.
 5.
...whenever I pick up a bass with rounds on, I start wondering whether to try ground-wounds... so for that I'd need fours and fives in standard and band tuning, bringing the total to sixteen.

What do you NEED? Whatever you use for your current musical project(s), and if that involves playing live an identical spare for each one.
So ras52 will in fact need thirty-two basses.
 6.
Is there much love for these? I might have one incoming Looks really cool How popular is the relic look? Thanx guys
Yes. Good, you made the right choice. Agree. Very popular. You're welcome.
 7.
I don't know what you're talking about, one of them says fretless, and it always did :-D
Oh yes, now that I look again I see that I must have been mistaken!
 8. As far as *need* goes, the answer is zero. And you've listed fretted with flats twice, any particular reason?
 9.
...I couldn't see anything offensive in his remarks. Ok, a bit ott in his stance, but not offensive or even belligerent. Was he banned purely for sending abusive personal messages?
That's what I thought. Ignoring his views on R*ck*nb*ck*r (which he is entitled to), he wasn't insulting or particularly rude in any way. I'm guessing it's the PM thing and/or the fact that he may have been banned previously for whatever reason and then returned under a different name..?
 10. '...I am starting the bidding low.' Must be a new definition of 'low' that I wasn't aware of.
 11.
Better known as Sting.
Stop confusing the issue!
 12.
...the picture in his first post was bugging me, went back and looked again ...i knew it wasn't peter hook, whale oil beef hooked! It's a right handed paul mccartney...
No - it's Bernard Sumner.
 13.
...there's something about Shoreline Gold that is just magical.
You're right... it resonates with something from my youth... what could it be??
 14.
Why so long between detection and banning?
Entertainment?
 15.
Rabbit poo the next morning. Or is that only me? Guinness has the same results.
That's only you. I get huge fudge-bombs with Guinness. Can't drink it anymore - too much fudge.
 16.
I do like the look of one (or two) of those cabs.

...one is normally more than enough!
Was going to say that one cab would probably suffice in most situations...
 17.
Is it just me or are the pictures not loading?
I noticed that, too... obviously it didn't happen.
 18. Interesting point about rehearsing in a circle. Anyone find it difficult to subsequently play in a line at a gig? Anyone rehearse in a line, or as you would at a gig? Our rooms have one wall as a mirror... I find this a mixed blessing.
 19.
Dairylea and Primula could really have their own forum sections.
Depends whether Rickenbacker becomes more popular than cheeses.
 20. Definitely PRIMM-YOO-LA. Tip: Makes you look years younger if you spread it on your face and sleep in the airing cupboard.
 21. It makes little difference in my opinion. I prefer to have the option of through-bridge because through-body isn't kind to flatwounds. Having said that, the original strings on the first 51 P basses (through body) were flats - rounds appeared later - and apparently some flats are more suitable than others for through-body, so your mileage may vary...
 22. Eight pages and no-one's mentioned Hitler yet??
