I like them too, but would the Cabronita guard look good without the Cabronita pickup? Also, it looks like the standard 51P pickup is a bit nearer the neck.
Be careful how you fit it. Don't use rubber or foam under it, use springs or plastic tubing. It can be a bit fragile, especially when adjusting height.

I tried that with a Jess Loureiro split-coil, I had a series/parallel switch fitted. But I preferred the 57-type sound and wanted to keep it simple. I hate having too many tone options.
Yes, but that's almost incidental. It has one coil per two pole-pieces, the idea being that you get that 57-style split-pickup vibe, but in a 51-style package.
