1.
New Marcus Miller V7 5 string arrived in great condition and played at rehearsal Monday night, sounds great and loads of different tones cannot find any faults.Looking good will post photos.
Very nice. From what I can gather thus far these are shaping up to be something of a bargain.
 2.
I've never had a semi in my life - never mind a purple semi...
Oh, I have. In fact I've got one now.
 3.
...spent about 2 hours looking on Thomann and there was nothing I fancied even though Mrs T had given me the green light for a bass purchase...
If you're not going to take advantage of that green light for a bass purchase, can I have it please?
 4. You should always consult your doctor before discontinuing any medication.
 5.
It says its ebony! I like purple
I didn't mean to give the impression I don't like it - I like purple! It's delicious.
 6.
...you're far too discreet.
Didn't think I'd ever see anyone post that comment on this forum.
 7.
...a bit of low A action.
If THAT'S not a euphemism, I'm putting my underpants back on!!
 8. I'm not a huge fan of tc to be honest. I found the GK Fusion to be warm, huge and difficult to get a bad sound from. Spring for a bit more cash and get one! If you don't like it, I'll take it off your hands!
 9.
The latter is something I'd love to do. I just need to see a few more clear shots of the maple boards. A lot of them I've seen have heavy relic'ing which isn't to my taste...
I know what you mean. A maple board with forty-odd years of wear on it is very hard to fake. Particularly a 70s one with about a gallon of poly on it... they pretty much last forever!
 10.
Someone put me out of my misery and tell me what colour combo to get so I can put the order in. PLEASE.
Well if you don't want an early 60s blonde/tort/rosewood, how about a 70s aged olympic white/black pg/one-piece maple neck..?
 11.
I wonder has anyone ever put 4 of these on? Then you could retune the whole guitar down and back. Is this possible? I don't know
http://www.spidercapo.com/xxl-spidercapo.html
 12.
...but its coming to ME, see what I did there!
Ahhhh! No.
 13. They are expensive, but it depends how often you're going to use them. I only use mine for one song in our set, but it's an important song and I wanted to be able to play it without spending too much time retuning my E string. And I got it for £50 on the Bay. But I've trained myself to tune from E to D (and back) quickly now, so maybe give that a go and think about it again.
 14.
As above really, tomorrow is a new amp day and it involves lots of lovely valves and the letters A, P and G. I will try to post some photos as obviously if I don't it didn't happen. Cheers Paul.
I didn't know GAP made bass amps..?
 15.
That's bloody lovely, if it had had 1966 style lollipop tuners it would have been my perfect Jazz spec.
Something similar incoming soon, Dave?
 16. Congratulations - you are a man of taste, if not wealth!* Very nice. Edit: *I mean now that you've splashed out on a Custom Shop...
 17.
To be fair to the feedback, the negative was because of late delivery. The feedback was 12 days after the sale. Sometimes it is down to the couriers. Maybe a bit slow. I remember years ago when you bought something, it always stated it could take 21 days.
Tru, dat. When I was an eBay trader it infuriated me when people complained about something that was essentially beyond my control. Also, why do people expect blistering delivery from eBay when all other online concerns generally take much longer? May be due to eBay's feedback system, I suppose... if there are no visible complaints about delivery on your website, why bust your arse delivering?
 18. That's a low price considering it's got an ebony fretboard? It's also very... purple.
 19.
depends, shagging around usually involves upsetting someone else, most people with any degree of humanity regret that, I had chances to cheat on my ex, I never did and I don't regret it now, mind you I did at the time :-)
It largely depends who you're with and what kind of person you are, for sure. I've slowed down quite considerably over the years, largely because I get on well with the current mrs discreet and when young master discreet fell out of her twelve years ago (is it that long??) things changed, as they do. Which is not to say I wouldn't take the opportunity if it presented itself, but I'm not getting any younger, thinner, richer or better-looking! It would have to be someone with pretty niche tastes who chats me up these days!
 20.
Last weekend at a gig, I helped a young cocktail waitress ( 26 or 27 years old ) lift a case of wine. She made some comment like, "It looks like we work well together" MWas I suppose to do something?
Yes.
A younger woman was coming on to me once, trouble was I'd known her since she was a young girl, I would have felt like a paedophile
But the fact is, you wouldn't have been! The one thing people don't say on their death beds is, 'I wish I hadn't done so much shagging'. Well... unless you're Freddie Mercury, that is.
 21.
Got pics.
Good job. But now you need a white pickguard to do them justice.
 22.
Things just going from bad to wurst.
Well at least you're not German, or something.
 23. Cowboy Hat and that Fuzzbox Voodoo The Alley Cat, Denmark Street, London WC2H 8LP - Friday, February 27th 2015 10pm Owing to a bizarre coincidence I will be playing in two bands at this gig... come and see me die of exhaustion on stage!
 24. This is the other band I'll be playing with, so it should be a totally confusing and chaotic evening. Come along if you want to see me crash and burn - TWICE!!
 25.
Have one of these and see how you like it.
I don't like it! Thhpppppp!!
