  1. All is calm, all is bright in my current band. Which is nice. I wouldn't mind some of Fleetwood Mac's success, but not sure how I would have dealt with the, ah... somewhat 'interesting' relationship and substance issues...
  2. You've gone up in my estimation, Skank. Not that you were on my Shït List or anything... just sayin.
  3. They are foreign too and don't what 'immaculate' means?
  4. Ah. Presumably 'real men' like basses with crappy strings...
  5. Finally, a post not waxing lyrical about these basses. I have thought about jumping on the bandwagon, but am reluctant to buy a brand that I can't pronounce and can't spell, either.
  6. No doubt you thanked him profusely for the loan of his bass?
  7. No, but I do remember them. Track fading out then fading in again, anyone? Possibly the worst music format ever devised for the tin box with a wheel at each corner.
  8. Until we scrapped it a few weeks ago, our car only had a cassette/radio.
  9. Kay EB100, available from Woolworth's in the 1970s. Very high action made it unplayable. Eee, you tell the kids today and they won't believe yer.
  10. Me too. Computers just aren't reliable enough to store important information without multiple backups, which is a big pain in the bum. Another issue which annoys me - waiting for a piece of software to wake up and do its thing when I want to hear some music NOW. There is no delay with vinyl! Unless of course you're a bit too stoned and it takes you ages to cross the room to the turntable...
  11. Yep, I'm definitely one of them. Linn claim their products last a lifetime and so far they're right...
  12. My 70s P with heavy poly finish sounded amazing. As did my Road Worn P with thin nitro finish. IMHO, finish makes NO difference to tone. How can it?
  13. Well, yes. Maple my personal preference. This is your thing.
  14. All basses. Mostly. Spector get away with their black headstock as it's part of their identity. And technically they're non-matching, unless on a black bass... And if you think that's racist or something, go and live in bloody China! See if I care!
  15. Good. Matching headstocks are almost always a mistake. They should only appear on Jazz basses - and then only if it's Burgundy Mist.
  16. Gary Mac's 1966 P Bass stands out... I'd like to have owned it, but for the usual reason...
  17. Class! I would have gone for vintage white or cream for the body, but it's looking good with the gold guard. My 2p? The headstock should be unpainted but with an amber tint. Overall I'd go for the late 60s/70s vibe. But that's just my opinion, of course.
  18. Luckily I don't rate rics highly enough to be that bothered, but if I did I would. Be bothered, that is.
  19. It is a shame. I think it makes BC look a bit silly, to be honest. Just my 2p.
