4. I've also had one from new. The p lyte is my go to for recordings normally unless I have a specific Tone in mind. I've never felt that either the pups or pre are lacking anything, even in the thickest of mixes, I've never thought the bass sounds weedy. I've not had the problem with battery life either Of course ymmv Have fun discovering !
5. PM incoming!
6. Congratulations to her - a great artist. It might also be worth noting that Iron Maiden won the metal performance grammy
7. is this still available? is it the earlier model, or the stereo one?

12. Hi guys. I'm working on a song in one of my bands which requires a loop/ sample. Ideally I would like it to be adjustable tempo wise without changing the pitch. Do I need a sampler / sequencer or something else? drum trigger? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8-H2df3gL4 this is the song. The sample is at the beginning ( amongst other places!) Thanks in advance for your help.
13. i use the ehx headphone amp. great sound, and is about half the size of an mxr pedal. http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/electro...very-1318-p.asp
14. Korg MA 30 some might say it beeps, but i always hear it as a tick YMMV of course
15. the D+ will also lose bottom end. I've tried most of the MXR boxes at one time or another - I'm a bit of an mxr whore!. Unfortunately, they all seem to lose the bottom end to one degree or another. The guitar ones that worked the best though were the Distortion 3 and GTOD which only dropped a little of the low end. Their bass stuff is great. If you can, try the blowtorch. I know it's known to be more of a synthy fuzz, but at lower gains it can do a reasonable OD On another tack, have you considered the Digitech bad monkey? sound great and can be found secondhand for not a lot - around £45 new, £30ish used. It gets a lot of loe around here, and Max at sfx mods them for more bass too
16. Have you tried David Lane? He's based in Gravesend. I can PM the numbers to you if needed. I've used him before and he's been extremely helpful, to the point of postponing other work to fix an amp for an imminent gig. Very reasonably priced too.
17. Into a SS rig, you'll drop low end. however i hear reasonable things about using it with a valve rig for always on light grittiness, i use the hardwire tube od. great sound, no bass loss, and doesn't mess with your tone (unless you want it to!), and most importantly for me - no scooping of mids (unlike SVT emulators - bddi etc)
18. Source audio have just debuted a sub mxr sized programmable eq At namm. Might be worth checking out when they appear on our shores
19. Roscoe beck V?
20. glad to see Colin Hodgkinson and Steve Harris in there already. Frank Bello
21. you gotta bear in mind the 'street price' of the ts9dx is around £150. more or less the expected cost tbh. I'm just waiting to try one. The video didn't really inspire me, but the proof of the pudding......
