1. do you have any details about the mammoth mid booster?
2. i have an Ibanez rdgr, and it is incredibly toppy, with loads of bottom and not alot of mids. not too sure which model in the range it is though unfortunately.
3. alternatively try one of these: http://www.johnnyshredfreak.com/store/inde...0f7fb3e4c8fa570 or: http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/mini-ja...daptor-12-p.asp
4. thanks for the info Richard, perhaps we'll catch up next time I have some money - i'm sure Jim will help me to spend some!! Enjoy your day off!
5. ^^^^ at that price, there can be only one!!!!
6. couldn't work out how to post it across, but mine seems to be pretty flat except at the extremes of the chart
7. Zombie thread!!! Richard, have you had any of your new lines arrive yet? it looks like i'm heading your way again on monday, but this time with a couple of my pedal-hungry students. be good to see you dude
8. ellefson didn't write the main intro riff to peace sells - that was a megadave riff! aside from the original partnership thing, i have no preference for either. i enjoy both players tremendously!
9. doubt it's even as old as mid 80's. 'SACROLIDGE' lol!!
10. great pedal excellent bang for the buck
11. shame - great gear, and cool people to deal with too
12. it would look great with one stack either side of your drummist!

14. in terms of wahs there are a few discussions already underway about which on is best. they normally come down to three mass market pedals ( Dunlop 105q, Morley models, and Ibanez weeping demon) plus boutique options (Wilson, MSD etc.) Realistically, there are tons of video reviews on youtube if trying these out is a problem For reverb, i've had some great results with the marshall reflector. It retails at less than most of the competition, yet still sounds great! I'm sure others will add their opinions too, but i hope this helps. PS - Can i have a go on your bass?
15. +1 to the cliff reference ^ my main crush was the Fender p. Iwasn't worried about anything except that Steve Harris played one. I now have a USA P and a MIJ P Lyte, but i now gas for the sig model.
16. or you could put a flag in it
17. i would put the octave first after the tuner, then filter, bbm, and then phaser. That i think is by the by. are you using batteries or an adaptor? i would first just connect the tuner in line, then assuming all is well add the octave, then assuming that is fine add the others until an issue occurs and you'll find where the problem is occurring. Do all the pedals work individually with your rig?
18. mistakes will happen, but thankfully they don't seem to happen too often. it doesn't seem to affect my bookings though, so i must be doing something right! what i might class as a mistake might very well go unnoticed by others. I find i am always my own worst critic.
19. probably a good idea to add the pedals in one by one then, and therefore identifying which one(s) are causing the problem. are you putting in the chain in the order above? ie : dt10 > BBM > OM > filter > phaser > amp ?
20. I teach rock school too. perhaps this lot might help. 60% of the marks are allocated for the prepared pieces. as mentioned above they are fairly straight forward, with no real surprises. be aware that good credit is given for soloing in a relevant manner appropriate to the style of the song. this means not sticking a "slap yo' mama" solo on a mellow piece etc... use dynamics to create movement, tension and just be musical! what you should always remember is that you can never overprepare. you'll need to be fluent in your playing of the set elements of technique, and be able to explain yourself in a clear and concise mannerin order to show understanding of the technical aspects.
21. it is probably worth putting the pedals back in one at a time to identify whether it is only one of the pedals or anything else. does your bass have a hot output?
22. thanks for that alien, i came to the same conclusion today. mind you i'm still going to toy with the idea of a stomper to switch it on cheers for all of the useful advice chaps
23. i thought it was reasonably well made, but was a little surprised it only made it to about '82/3. Where's the rest? Lemmy is really starting to look quite old now though - i never thought that would happen!!
24. just trying to work out why they both felt the need to use twin-necked instruments
