1. I spent ages on this very quest. I found that in my situation the ebs didn't really tick the box for me, I can't really define what it was ( helpful huh!), so I tried the pork loin, but I found that whilst playing on my own it sounded great, but wasn't quite the ticket when playing at volume with the rest of the band. In the end I settled with the hardwire tube od for my low gain grittyness, and I'm currently trying the markbass bass tube marker for higher gain stuff Hth
2. raises (left) hand!
3. It was a great evening. fascinating to watch two hugely dynamic players up close and personal, and meet them afterwards too!
4. I'm waiting on the new MXR bas comp. It looks fantastic, but is unlikely to hit these shores until august
5. that's a lot of ampeg-ish-ness there!
6. i'm waiting for my tix! See ya there!
7. Hi I'm in gravesend, drop me a pm and we'll talk mate!
8. ok, thanks. I was hoping it might get down to 2! Good luck with the sale - at this price, I'm sure it won't be here for long!

12. Is there any way you could get to play one first?
13. we always start with an intro of police radio chatter/ car chase into Breaking the Law and roll across into Cochise and an intro tape (Minidisc!) of Sirens into War Pigs for the second set
14. CE5, MXR Black Label Chorus/ Analogue chorus (same thing!), MXR micro Chorus all sound great with bass, and all a load of cash away from budget!
15. i have one and use it for late night practice once the kids are in bed. The sound is crisp and clear with no issues for me with the E string. No 9v in though - battery only i'm afraid
16. it seems seymour duncan do them too http://www.seymourduncan.com/liberator/
17. i use either the CEB3 or the MXR black label chorus. The BLC primarily now!
18. i currently have both. The blowtorch is best suited to fuzzy/ synthy sounds. It can do overdrive, but it always has a fuzzy edge to it. For Distortion, I would most defintiely go with the M80. Judicious use of the blend works wonders, but it can get some lovely drive/ dist sounds.
19. One of my students has one of the chinese Hofners. The built quality is awesome especially considering the price point. It isn't a one off either, i've played another one of the hofners in a friends shop and it was also as good. For the cash i think they'd be hard to beat
20. I've used a few different comps, including most of the usual suspects, but as yet haven't found one that i really like. I'm waiting to try out the new MXR bass comp. It looks really cool and is due reasonably soon in the shops.
21. Hi there! can you give aby ideas as to the set list please? Ta
