  12. For me, The Harris P bass is quite simply the best p bass I have ever played. Granted I'm a bit of a fanboy, but once I played one, I knew that irrespective of the squiggle on the back of the headstock this was THE p bass for me.

  15. I use fast fret regularly (and have done for many years) once my strings are over around a year old to maintain the snap and sparkle. Makes a real difference to me

  21. something akin to the mxr m80 or Laney Digbeth pre might be an option They are both decent Di units with EQ and tonal options. What separates these from the Sansamp and clones is that there is no baked in eq as standard. They also have a straight through option, so your amp tone is unaffected and you have the eq control of that which goes to the desk
